Automatic Item Leveling

Description
Does exactly as it says!

How it works
All player/party items are scaled to the player's level once obtained and on level up. This includes items already in your inventory when you load the game, meaning you will not have to start a new game for this to take effect.

Note that higher quality equipment may naturally have greater equipping requirements when leveled up. Bonuses given by the equipment such as "+1 Intelligence" etc. will also naturally increase.

The screenshots above were taken at Level 1 and Level 20 (done by using a command not available in the mod) on some basic equipment to show the effect.

Norbyte Extender
If you have the Norbyte Script Extender installed, this mod will gain the following features:
  • Items higher level than the player will not be downscaled.
  • You will be able to select what rarity tiers you would like to include / exclude to scale with you. See the above screenshot!

Highly Recommended Mods
No Equipping Requirements. This is just generally nice to have as equipping requirements will increase as items are leveled in this mod.

You can help me translate this file by heading over to my Github for the project![github.com]

Open your language's folder[github.com] and then the .xml file. Click edit and begin translating away! Finally when you're done, submit it to be approved. Please make a pull request for it so I'm notified right away.

Thankyou to the following:
  • Dalob for the German localisation
  • XieLongWu for the Chinese and Chinese Traditional localisation
  • demon7048 for the Korean localisation

Troubleshooting
I understand this may be the first or only mod a lot of new players might install. With that said...

If the mod "doesn't work" then you've likely not enabled it in the mod menu. After subscribing and loading the game, click on the Mods section in the Main Menu and check mark this mod then click Accept.

If it still doesn't work, and you're convinced you've actually followed the instructions, then message me on discord @frasdoge#1996.

ah, ok

@Megalovaniac It levels up items added to and inside your inventory. Until you pick something up it won't be auto-levelled.

so i type this into the script window that opens up? Osi.ItemTemplateAddTo("BOOK_AIL_ArmamentsOfTheGods_e5907cf1-cfa5-4f3c-bc41-25377f074d32", Osi.DB_IsPlayer:Get(nil)[1][1], 1);

@kioska333 The script extender console is another physical window. "Tab in" or "tab out" means Alt + Tab, the shortcut in Windows to switch between currently open applications.

ugh. so i finally got around top trying to add the book with the script extender console and just couldnt get it to work. i followed the instructions step by step. when start up the game it opens another window with a bunch of scripts. when im in game and press tab to open the script extender console and press enter it just opens up the chat box. once again i am missing something. LOL

damn. that still didnt work. there is something weird going on. did everything you said and still nothing. this really sucks cause i love this mod. it means a massive amount of time having to level up items with a different mod and spending a ton of money on it. its very sad. are there any mods that you know of that break this one? :(

I guess you'll have to do it manually then. Unsubscribe, go to your Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods folder and delete the .pak file. Boot the game, exit the game, resubscribe, boot the game, enable the mod.
