Description

Current version: 2.0
Please refer to the changelog for patch notes.

This mod adds a number of new armor blocks to the game. They are all available in light / heavy and large / small variation and have full armor skin support.

AQD - A Quantum of Depth is a project of mine, encompassing multiple small and larger mods aimed at improving the gameplay experience and eventually overhauling larger parts of the game:

16 New Armor Blocks
Available in large and small, as well as heavy and light variations. The blocks have been partially integrated into existing G-menu block groups where it made sense, or been added as part of new ones.
  • Corner Split 2x1x1 Base
  • Corner Split 2x1x1 Tip
  • Half Slab Corner Split
  • Half Slope Inverted Corner
  • Slope 3x1
  • Slope 3x1 Corner
  • Slope 3x1 Inverted Corner
  • Slope 3x1 Transition
  • Slope 4x1
  • Slope 4x1 Corner
  • Slope 4x1 Inverted Corner
  • Slope 4x1 Transition
  • Slope 5x1
  • Slope 5x1 Corner
  • Slope 5x1 Inverted Corner
  • Slope 5x1 Transition

Full Skin Support
To my knowledge, most other armor block mods don't currently support armor skins. This is not surprising, considering most of them are fairly old by now. This mod has been designed from ground-up to fully support armor skins.

  • I am NOT taking requests for more armor shapes. There will always be more to add - and I will add more in the future - but I will never be able to add all of them. I'd rather focus on a small amount that is of high quality and as universally applicable as possible.
  • As it is not possible to add new deformation shapes to the game, and using the existing ones would not yield good results for some of these shapes, these blocks unfortunately do not support deformation.

  • Digi & Echthros2 - For figuring out and providing me with the script to disable paneling lines when using weldless skin.

Sounds like you haven't gotten the mod update yet or a faulty download. See: https://spaceengineers.wiki.gg/wiki/Fixing_Download_Corruption

So, some friends and I were playing with the mod, and I (host) do not see the 5x1 slopes, but my friends do. However, when they try to place the 5x1 slope their game disconnects them, then reconnects them because of standard SE stuff.

I don't think I'll be adding 6x1 but I am planning on expanding sideways into 5x2x1, 5x3x1, etc. up to 5x5x1. As for larger than that I'm considering options for going a step up and making 10x and 15x blocks. Not sure yet though.

I love the new update, I know this is an incredibly niche thing but would you consider adding in 6x1 slopes too? I think they'd group nicely with the 5x1s and it would allow this mod to serve as a good replacement for the armor ramp conpendium mod. Which has 6x1s.

I followed the guide listed on the Mod Adjusster page without success. Since you says it does work I must have done something wrong. I will take another look. thanks for the response.

Replacing the components of the existing blocks via ModAdjuster is definitely possible.

Mod Adjuster doesn't handle what I am trying to do. I want to add blocks with the models/icons of your blocks, but have components from the Star Trek Mod Pack (Tritanium Plate and Duranium Grid). I tried both adding new blocks, and replacing build components of the existing blocks. Neith works.

Would you add support for Structural Reinforcement ?https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3029470356

I didn't realilze mod adjuster would allow you to change component lists. Thanks for the info.

I won't be making that but you could use ModAdjuster to make such a mod - no need to reupload. :-)
