There are SMG mods that utilize PDR-style short barrel foregrip animations. Basically any mod with SMG weapon types.
Do you have an idea about why the PDR pistol and the assault rifle appear together in the hand of the soldiers during missions ? It just a visual surprise however. The weapons shoot as they should.
In addition to previous message, a small correction fro the issue b/ In fact it seems that sometimes both the primary weapon and the PDR appear at the same time in the hand of the soldier, when he fires.
a/ how does one identify the pistol and the bulpup ? they both seem to appear as PDR-P ?
b/ they appear in the armoury and it is possible to equip the soldiers with them. However, during the missions, it seems the animations are off. When the soldiers use the pistol, they shoot with their primary weapons (assault guns for example) held in one hand, and the PDR therefore does not appear. The sound however seems to be correct.
c/ Using the loadout screen, I tried also to equip one soldier with both bulpup and pistol, both PDR-P. The "pistol" appear in the pistol holder (on the thigh then) but the "bulpup" does not appear (empty hands). I have not tried this setup during a mission and I don't know what would happen.
