Description

British wrestler Pete Dunne began training to be a wrestler at the age of 12, and he made his first appearance the following year.

While still a young wrestler, Dunne co-founded Attack! Pro Wrestling in 2011 in his native Birmingham, and he wrestled for the promotion into late 2016.

Dunne wrestled for Progress, Revolution Pro, Chikara, and other independent promotions before appearing in the WWE United Kingdom Tournament and later signing with the global organization. Dunne was the runnerup of the tournament, losing the finals and the WWE United Kingdom Championship to his former trainee, Tyler Bate.

Dunne would win the title from Bate in a highly regarded match at NXT TakeOver: Chicago in 2017. Dunne is affiliated with WWE, but his contract allows him to still take independent bookings.
