In comparison to the map "Berlin" made by another user, I can see why he/she added control points on the small island where the Allies spawn because Germany will basically have a monopoly dominance over the main island.
I wouldn't make these changes though; as imbalanced as it is; the map is incredibly fun to play with all the non-sense. If you're looking for a more "competitively balanced" version then I'd just go find the map named "Berlin" instead. This one is just pure dumb fun~
The map itself isn't exacty very well balanced to begin with considering it's a campaign map where it's meant for the Germans to have already dug in; making that final push past the chokepoint junction is incredibly difficult as the allies since Germany just has so much room to work with. Especially when you consider the addition of other mods such as 170 or Advanced Powers which have a bigger emphasis on emplacements or the existence of Spearhead and Wikinger that greatly increases the likelihood of squads getting wiped in seconds, such attributes make the game lopsidedly imbalanced... But in a good way!
I enjoy the idea of the radio tower being a firm contention point but it would be nice to have it moved somewhere more neutral instead of putting it at arms reach of the german defense. Perhaps even remove the spawn point there so all reinforcements come from the HQ spawns too?
Visually the map is very aesthetically pleasing; coming straight out of the campaign, a map designed as the last bastion for the Germans fits very well in terms of appearance on both sides as well as map progression. You'll find the map to be diagonally split from the destroyed city on the left belonging to primarily the allies and having intense CQC with the right side of the map primarily having combat at the chokepoint with the main road junction of the center victory point.
However bear in mind that the germans have an enormous advantage as on the bottom right of the map is a radio tower that not only allows player 3 and 4 to spawn their units from there, but gains access to a variety of infantry, and tier 3 and tier 4 vehicles (that do not require teching) such as a Panzerwerfer, StuG III and Panzer IV. Interestingly they can also request partisan and soviet infantry on top of a few german weapon crews. This will be vital to make breakthroughs and the team that maintains control of this territory point will gain control of powerful reinforcements.
Can you make Winter skin version?
