Faction Unlocker / Ultimate Chaos - Compatibility Mod [OUTDATED]

Description
This mod will be updated once both Crynsos Faction Unlocker and Ultimate Chaos are compatible with "The Potion of Speed" patch / "The Shadow & The Blade" DLC!



This mod aims to better compatibility between Crynsos' Faction Unlocker+ and Ultimate Chaos.
If you refrained yourself from trying one of the two overhauls because they were not fully compatible up until now, make sure to give it another go!
They are both excellent overhaul mods which a bunch of new content.

Requirements:
Make sure you are subscribed to and enabled the following mods for both Crynsos' Faction Unlocker+ and Ultimate Chaos!
Don't use "Ultimate Chaos-Sub Mod - CO-OP" or "Ultimate Chaos-Sub Mod - Proper Starting Units". Their features are provides by the Faction Unlockers start_pos!

Features:
  • Ultimate Chaos starting units via script.
  • Mod Configuration Tool option to choose Faction Unlocker starting units instead.
  • Brass Keep (Unlocker custom chaos faction) building restriction for Ultimate Chaos horde buildings.
  • The Cabal (Unlocker custom chaos faction) restriction to Tzeentch and Chaos Undivided troops and buildings.
  • Chaos invasion and Norscan gods script (unlocker as base) with Ultimate Chaos lords and units.
  • Ultimate Chaos faction trait changes included.
  • Ultimate Chaos Favoured of the Gods (chaos "offices").

Limitations:
  • Chaos starting units shown in the campaign selection screen are the Faction Unlocker's starting units.

Is this mod save-game compatible?
No.

Is it compatible with ... ?
If it is compatible with both Ultimate Chaos and the Faction Unlocker independently then there should be no reason it won't with this. Obviously overhaul mods like SFO, that don't have compatibility mods for Ultimate Chaos, won't work with this either (or are not balanced). The SFO/Unlocker submod is NOT enough!

Is this mod multiplayer compatible?
Yes.

I'd have to redo the whole mod and I don't feel like doing it at this point. So don't expect an update anytime soon.
You could try asking Crynsos or Steel for it. Maybe they have the time/motivation I am lacking atm.

I still work on it. But Ultimate Chaos was updated only one or two weeks before the Warden & the Paunch dlc was announced, so I decided working on a new version just a few weeks before launch makes little sense.

Last patch/DLC cycle, Mixu's unlocker seemed to work just fine with Ultimate Chaos. Mixu's unlocker currently only unlocks factions and is very vanilla, while Crynsos has quite a bit extra going on: it has additional event scripting, includes a few new 'filler' factions unique to Crynsos, and it touches the Chaos Invasion mechanics. Those extra parts in Crynsos' Unlocker are where Ultimate Chaos has the compatibility issues.
