T set "Tangara" - 8 cars (Sydney Trains)

Description
The T set, or "Tangara" debuted in 1988 and remains a key part of Sydney's train fleet. Like all of Sydney's trains it features double-decker seating, so I have set the capacity of both control car and passenger carriage at 80, which is more than double the default train, and still less than the true capacity (as anyone who has crammed into one at peak hour can attest).

I have revisited this set six months after its original publishing and applied lessons learnt since then. The texture is 1/4 the original, and the diffuse is much dimmer so the colours aren't as blown out.

Update by Jenper: The new updated Tangaras now require Additive Shader to show their new front and rear headlights, they may work just fine without it but there'll be no lights. Some other notable changes are the new wheels and updated Sydney Trains logo.

This model cannot be line-coloured.

The non-line coloured T set items on the workshop (4 car, 6 car, 8 car) all use the same textures for both passenger and motor cars. Using this essential mod can save on texture loading time.

To convert these trains for use with Metro Overhaul Mod, go to your local app data folder (usually username\AppData\Local\) then Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\TrainConverter-Config.xml and add this line within the <pantograph-trains-to-metro> group:

Excellent news, thanks heaps :steamthumbsup:I have sent you a friend request, as I may need your 3d source files. Just not sure if it's possible to convert from CS back to Blender?!

Hey, you have my permission to use any train I've made and use it for your own non-commercial needs in any other game. Keep in mind that none of my trains have internals modelled, and in general are much lower detail than what you probably see in Train Simulator (or even meshd's which are really good) as I favoured optimisation over detail.

Hi mate, any chance to ask if you could add your Cityrail trains into TS Classic? Or would you allow me your source files to import them into TS Classic? I have imported meshd's XPT as well as his Adelaide Metro 3000/31000 and 4000 Class units with his kind permission. Just asking because it saves modelling them all myself... Anyway, it's entirely up to you :)

the 8 car one is longer than the standard train station, I have seen this cause issues with spawning on stations at the end of a line.. where the first one or two carriages are inside the ones behind it, but usually it moves out.. does it also happen with the 6/4 car sets?

im having issues where the train spawns inside of itself and it wont move

The difference is very minor, I don't think it's worth it.

Ah, I think I get it.. I'm going to mess around with stations when I get home and try to figure out how to make my own. Seems complicated.

Yeah it is but when it replaces the X-junction at station, it makes it longer there for trains have to stop even further down the platform.
