InSight Landing Site, Elysium Planitia, Mars

Description
NASA's InSight probe landed here on November 26, 2018. With a name representing 'Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport', this robotic lander will use its arm to place a highly sensitive seismometer on to the surface of Mars, followed by a specialised heat flow probe which will burrow up to 5m below the surface.

This photogrammetric reconstruction was built with raw images sent back by the probe, with the most recent dating from Sol 16 (roughly December 13, 2018).

Source imagery: NASA / JPL-Caltech - https://mars.nasa.gov/insight/multimedia/raw-images/
Lander 3D model: Brian Kumanchik, NASA / JPL-Caltech - https://nasa3d.arc.nasa.gov/detail/insight_cruise_lander

Scene was built using AgiSoft PhotoScan, Modo and Photoshop. (Reality Capture sadly didn't get a good camera alignment with the limited imagery available.) It's pretty rough round the edges right now, and could do with some exposure correction for many of the shots - but I'll hopefully update this scene as more imagery arrives.

Scale should be pretty accurate - I matched the detailed 3D model up with the fragments in the photogrammetric one.

Enjoy your stay on Mars, and huge thanks to NASA and JPL for making this data available to enthusiasts like myself!

Hi, i like this a lot.
1) it's possible to have this scene in some other format Unity-compatible? I'm thinking about build a free webgl/webxr to allow view with only a Quest and webxr-compatible browser.
2) you plan to do some works with Perseverance media?
I sent to you a friend request, i want to sponsor projects like this. Thx.

Incredible, work like this is always appreciated! Until we actually get to go to mars, this will do lol
