Mac's Civ Packs - Legacies

Description
Replaces the 4 African Kingdoms civs with Tibetans, Burgundians, Normans, and Scythians.
**YOU NEED THE TEXT INTERFACE MOD TO BE ABLE TO READ ANYTHING IN THE MOD**

This has been a side project that I've had in the notebook for about a year, working with the civ ideas before starting it around this month. There are a few anachronisms (in a game full of anachronisms) and while I did my best to keep everything reasonably balanced, imbalances are going to inevitably bleed through.

TIBETANS
Monk and Infantry civ
- Blacksmith mail/infantry armor techs provide +1 additional pierce armor per research. Chain mail is free,
- Monasteries cost 100 wood.
- Monasteries and towers have +20% HP in Castle age, +40% HP in Imperial age
- Can train Lamas in the Imperial age. (Very slow monk that generates gold as long as it's alive)
Team Bonus: Blacksmiths work 80% faster
Unique Techs: Lamellar - Infantry get +1/1 armor. Nirvana - Monks regenerate Faith much faster.
Unique Unit: Nangchen Cataphract - High speed medium cavalry with an attack bonus vs cavalry archers.

BURGUNDIANS
Gunpowder and Infantry civ
- Mill and Lumber upgrades don't cost wood.
- Feudal age costs 20% less. (400 food)
- Gunpowder units move 20% faster
Team Bonus: Castles work 20% faster
Unique Techs: Ordonnance - Foot units get +1 melee armor. Battery - Bombard cannons get extra damage and blast radius.
Unique Unit: Gendarme - Ranged (1 range) Heavy cavalry with low pierce armor and a bonus against other cavalry. Ideal against other heavy cavalry.

NORMANS
Cavalry and Navy/Defensive civ
- Masonry and Architecture are free
- Town centers cost 15% less in the Castle age and 25% less in Imperial age. Town centers are build 50% faster.
- Cavalry moves 15% faster (lacks husbandry)
- Cavalry unit upgrades cost 25% lestt
Team Bonus: Transport ships and fish traps cost 20% less
Unique Techs: Motte and Bailey - Palisade walls become fortified and castles get extra building armor, making it harder for them to be rammed down. Dgerre - Knight line units get trample damage.
Unique Unit: Duc - Mounted assault skirmisher. Similar to a genitour with more durability and a small combat edge.

SCYTHIANS
- Cavalry Archers have +30% HP in Castle age, +40% HP in Imperial age
- Parthian tactics is free
- Gold mines last 25% longer
- Light cavalry line consume half population space
- When a town center is destroyed/deleted, it's resources is returned.
Team Bonus: Dropoff sites provide population space
Unique Techs: Burial Mounds - Knights and Cavalry archers return 10% of their cost on death. Androphagi return 25% of their food cost on death. Eorpata - Melee cavalry attack faster. (20% faster for hussars, 10% faster for paladins)
Unique Unit: Androphagi - high speed anti-archer infantry with a low attack but very high attack speed. Imperial Cavalry Archer - post-imperial upgrade for the heavy cavalry archer that gives it extra health, melee armor, and overall attack speed.

This mod was a passion project and while I mulled and mulled over historical notes for hours at a time when coming up with the bonuses, I know in the context of the game overall the civs don't make much sense - such as the Burgundians and Normans already being in the game as Franks, and Scythia being more suited as an AoE1 civ as it's more along it's timeframe. This wasn't any sort of adding civs that should be in the game, just a few ideas i had. Enjoy!

Yeah, it's too bad that you can't add civs :/
On Definitive Edition, they've hinted to add modding accomodation to adding entirely new civs, but there haven't been any updates on that yet. I'm currently working on an AoE2DE bronze age mod and scythians make an appearance there haha
