"The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 (Russian: Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-15) is a jet fighter aircraft developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich for the Soviet Union.

The MiG-15 was one of the first successful jet fighters to incorporate swept wings to achieve high transonic speeds. In combat over Korea, it outclassed straight-winged jet day fighters, which were largely relegated to ground-attack roles, and was quickly countered by the similar American swept-wing North American F-86 Sabre. The MiG-15 is often mentioned, along with the F-86 Sabre, as the best fighter aircraft of the Korean War"

About The MIG-15

A 1:1(ish) replica of the single seat Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 Fighter jet, entirely vanilla, and for the majority, survival ready.

Note as of keens recent updates Supergridding must be enabled in the world settings to use the cockpit and integrated turret

I tried to reproduce the MIG to the best of my abilities, thruster-damage safe, and with some particle effects to give an appealing engine smoke trail for cinematic effect, is mostly to scale although I had to upscale it slightly so I could fit it with SE block sizes.
The fighter is also kitted out with navigation lights and primative multiplayer safe landing gear if you want to park it down somewhere.

The fighter, true to it's origins is a more than capable high-speed dogfight craft with high up forward and left and right thrust making it handle very similarly to a real plane, it performs best banking into turns and using it's rear thrust.
Weighing in at 30 m/s/s Acceleration the ship can accelerate well rivalling most other fighters, and can round corners well.

To supplement the missiles the fighter also has 6 nose mounted gatlings where orginally the air intake would have been, shielded quite well from enemy damage, they do the job at taking down craft and even larger grids very well.


Basic System Usage

1) - Nose Mounted Gatling Cannons
2) - Launch Next Free Guided Missile
4) - Gunsight Camera
7) - Landing Gear
9) - Navigation Lights




Combat System Usage

The missiles use an advanced PN automatic lockon navigation guidance.
Once you come within 1000m of an enemy target the guidance system will sound an alarm (beeping) notifying you that you have target lock.
The lock will automatically reaquire to the CLOSEST target, this can be confusing to new operators, be wary of scrap or densely populated areas.

Once you have lock to release next available missile press 2, ensure that you are not flying at maximum velocity when doing so or the missile can get 'stuck' due to the 100m/s speed limit of the game.
Once the missile clears the craft it's guidance will kick in and intercept the target, launch from as far as you can to best the chances of successful interception, operators are advised to read up on real-world missile tactics to ensure best chances of interception.

Survival: Does it work?
- Yes, it's all conveyored up access for refueling is on the underside, however flight time is limited due to the hydrogen thrusters

Space/Atmos: Does it work?
- Yes, anywhere and any place, any time

How Did You Get The Cockpit Like That?
- Something called 'Supergridding'

Hey man, need help. Thrusters are not providing upward lift in gravity, they are working, theyre just not lifting. Any idea on how to fix it?

that's not entirely true
the turret on the firing ship must be targeting an enemy automatically for the missiles to lock

Missiles do not capture the target. Yes, scripts and supergrid are included.
On one forum I read that to capture the turret must be installed on each rocket. Is this true?

i honestly can't get it to work, i activated the supergridding and lined up a space pirate target within range. i got nothing, no beeping from the guidance system. Please tell me if i have missed something cos i want to understand this script to use on my own ships.
