Tony Nese

Tony Nese, a cruiserweight wrestler currently signed to WWE and competing on 205 Live, has been wrestling in the US since 2005. Nese initially began working in the northeast as Matt Maverick (and later just Maverick).

Nese spent nearly a year working for TNA and participated in the X-Division and returned to the independent scene after.

In 2016, Nese competed in WWE's Cruiserweight Classic, winning his first match before being eliminated in the second round.

Nese impressed WWE staff enough to include him in Raw's cruiserweight division later that year, and he began appearing on 205 Live once the show debuted.
