Greg Valentine (1985-1990)

Valentine won his first IC title in the fall of 1994 when he defeated Tito Santana and then injured him after the match by applying the figure four. Valentine would defend his title against the Junkyard Dog and when Santana eventually returned from injury Valentine battled him in a long feud which culminated in Santana winning the IC Title back in a cage match in the summer of 1985. Valentine would then form a tag team called The Dream Team with Brutus Beefcake and the two would feud with the U.S. Express and go on to win tag team gold. After the Dream Team split up Valentine would form the short lived New Dream Team with Dino Bravo and then return to singles competiton in feuds with Don Muraco and later Ronnie Garvin. As the 90's approached Valentine again joined a tag team, with time with the Honky Tonk Man, forming Rhythm and Blues.
