Adds vampires to RimWorld

Heavily inspired by Vampire the Masquerade, this mod introduces a disease known as vampirism.
There are five Vampire bloodlines included with the mod currently.
Different bloodlines have different abilities: 44 in total (check the vampire character menu).
Adds in "vitae" and blood mechanics (check the needs menu).

How to play as a vampire in a new game:
  • Choose a vampire scenario OR create your own with the added health condition for Vampirism. Then...
  • a) Have a vampire appear in your initial colonists list. OR
  • b) Find a vampire out in the world. Imprison them. Recruit them. Then select them, right click another colonist, and select "Embrace (Give Vampirism)" from the right click menu options.

How to play as a vampire in an existing game:
It's recommended to start a new game with vampires. The only known method of playing vampires in existing games is to edit save files and add in the vampire health condition or use debug commands. No guide currently available for this.

Incompatibility
- Moody. Checks for food in caravans and causes errors.

Available in English, Spanish (by Daru), and Russian (by kr33man).

Jecrell has announced on his Discord that he will in fact update his mod collection to the latest version of the game. Star wars is already updated and the next is war of the rims. He will do lovecraftian mods as the last one.

this mod was originally made by jecrell. jecrell isn't easy to contact, i tried several times over the years. a good while ago, i was becoming upset about being ignored when i was trying to offer help - i wasn't sure if he was just being arrogant, or really did not have any minute over to give any answer/news. so i recommended that he asks for help at the modding community in case it'd become too much to keep up the great work. now, this mod has several creators and none of them is jecrell, so i would assume the mod is in a phase where those new updaters work themself into the mechanics & goals whilst brainstorming ways to realize those. eventually they're even a step further already, updating & rewriting code. whatever it is, i'm sure the mod will become updated again and that it won't take too long anymore.

apparently there's a new mod that adds bloodlines and disciplines as xenotypes to make it work with biotech. will this mod be updated to 1.5 in the foreseeable future? the unique mechanics of this mod is quite nice imo.
Hey, I was wondering if there's a compatability patch for dubs bad hygeine? it seems like all my vampires just get dehydrated and die from being unable to drink water, thank you in advance!

I found a work around for the role change. Go into Dev mode and at the top there will be a new menu, you can add the role manually.

it seems this mod conflicts with DLC like Ideology and Biotech. I tried to make a vampire, and they could not attend to a role change. Or be the doctor to a childbirth. Every time I tell them to do, they walk to the area to do so, but the MOMENT they arrive at the "ritual" it's canceled,

I tried to use debug mode to remove the vampirism from the pawn and afterwards they could with no issue attend a role change
