Description
Cave here. Apparently one of our employees was out "walking the dog" the other day - at least that's what he told me - when their dog just happened to dig up a lump of fossilised amber. Now, if you ask me it sounds like he was doing an archaeological dig without a licence. You know what happens if you do that? You get fired. And then buried underground. Your dog does too, if he even exists.

Point is, inside the amber was a vicious little mosquito which according to the lab boys contains traces of dinosaur DNA! Which dinosaur? Who knows! But Greg tells me that somehow there's enough DNA in that whiny little scamp (the mosquito, not Greg) to clone a whole menagerie of dinos. Various government officials have warned us that doing such a thing could be very dangerous, but luckily one of them was eaten by our prototype Diplodocus Rex, and the others are all too traumatised to say anything. That cleaned things up nicely, and it's clear there are no ethical concerns to people who *aren't* stuck-up bureaucrats, so we've decided to go ahead.

So, coming soon to an Aperture Science near you (as long as you live in Michigan) is an awe-inspiring dinosaur themed attraction we've decided to call "Jurassi..." no wait a minute... "Land of Jurassic-Era Dinosaurs Which Are Great Fun For The Whole Family but May Bite Your Head Off". Perfect! Oh, funeral for that government official is next week by the way. Dino themed, of course. Cave Johnson, we're done here.

"Amber" is a Medium difficulty Monoportal map focused on careful planning and timing. The puzzle is not execution based, but may require fairly quick reactions in some areas. Most people will probably be absolutely fine, but please let me know if you have difficulties. "Amber" is quite different from anything I've done before, so feedback is very much appreciated!

Difficulty: Medium

I usually hate timers in any game I play, but this was actually enjoyable to play. It even inspired me to incorporate the move into my Auto Tutorial level for my TUBER series, so thank you for the inspiration, @Demon Arisen! :p2cube:

I've almost played through every one of your puzzles now and this is definitely one of my favourites. A really cool sequence of aha moments!

More difficult than your others to pull off, I messed up a few times because I was rushing myself. Still a good test :ninjavictory:

Another satisfying puzzle of yours...don't know how I missed it previously. Took me a while to figure out the intermediate step cube placement (Wish I had a portal head like Nock. He figured out the intro room within seconds--took me...uhhhh...shall we say, a bit longer :-) . Kind of saw the final move to but took a number of iterations to get the exact details (thank you F6/F7). The "execution" based part had me concerned as timed flings, while having to make sure having the right orientation, and then pushing the correct button, at the right time is usually death for me....yeah, I suck...the earlier spin 180 and reportal in the right place at the right time to redirect the funnel for the second cube took me a couple tries. However, I did the final cube-catch on my first try. ...A small victory is still a victory!:winter2019joyfultearsbulb:

Great one. I see how you could say it's medium difficulty but I mentally got stuck at one part and thus found it to be quite challenging. The level design is outstanding, it must have taken a lot of time to line up properly. Thanks so much.
