Alternative Mod Uploader

Description
This is not a mod. This will only interest you if you are creating and uploading mods. If you don't know what it is, don't use it.

This is an alternative mod uploader for XCOM 2 Modders. It is based on the Civilization 6 Mod Uploader and has been adapted by me for XCOM 2.

All credits go to the Firaxis Civilization 6 team.

Contributions have been made by RadRussianRus! Many thanks for fixing some issues.

This is uploaded as a mod to keep it within the Firaxis-Steam-O-Sphere.
There is no public source code because this is technically part of the Civilization 6 SDK.
It will be visible in the Mods Launcher, but will have no functionality.

This mod uploader allows you to easily update existing mods and upload new mods without any sort of messing with the SDK and PublishedFileIDs. You can select tags and add custom ones. It will not overwrite the existing description and title, but use the existing one that you can still modify after that.

Setup Instructions

Navigate to the download path of this mod. (SteamApps/workshop/content/268500/1134322341)
Copy the "Binaries" folder somewhere else, in the SDK or something.
Unsubscribe from this mod.
The Mod uploader will refuse to work when run from the workshop directory. This is intentional.

After uploading a mod for the first time, you will be asked to select the "source project". This creates a file needed for the vanilla uploader to recognize a mod as already uploaded, should you not want to continue using this uploader.

does this require the sdk to work and can it function standalone?

@kregano
Done.

Do you mind making a troubleshooting thread? I have some Event Viewer logs and don't want to clog up the comments with them.

Sadly, no. But you can try to run it from cmd.exe, maybe it will show something.

I get it with both Edit Item and Upload a new version.

Is there a launch argument or something that can generate a log?

@kregano
That's strange, I can't reproduce it. Does it crashes when clicking "Edit Item" for existing mod?
