Cocky, powerfully built, and arrogant, Chris Candido didn't need any gimmicks. He was a natural professional wrestler. He wrestled from NJPW to Smoky Mountain and almost everywhere in between- picking up belts of gold with the lovely Tammy Sytch by his side. He scored the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, WWF World Tag Team Championship, ECW World Tag Team Championship and WCW Cruiserweight Championship- but his first run was in ECW. In 1993 he teamed with Johnny Hotbody and Chris Michaels to form The Suicide Blonds, capturing two tag championships. He later left for WWF, but returned to ECW in 1996 to join Triple Threat with Shane Douglas and Lance Storm. Eventually he and Storm formed an uneasy alliance as ECW World Tag Team Champions. In 2000 Chris moved on to WCW, and eventually TNA. Tragically he succumbed to pneumonia in 2005 after an freak injury. TNA honored him with the Chris Candido Memorial Tag Team Tournament.
