Era - 1950s /1970s - NWA / AWA

One of the most decorated champions in history, and the founder of the American Wrestling Association, Verne Gagne was the epitome of the classical technician in the ring, and promoted the style as the promotor of the AWA. His top level amateur skills and excellent athleticism kept him relevant in the ring from the late 1940s through the 1970s.
