Biggest +rep I could leave, I feel like a fool for being afraid and not talking to them sooner.
They are a kind and reasonable negotiator, and attempted to help me.
In the end we made an awesome trade that made my dream hat go from an impossible goal to something in my inventory. I really look forward to trading with them again for something else.
