Too many issues getting it to work correctly. Managed to fix the ultra wide view but then the map is bugged and worthless. I was able to play for awhile but not being able to read the map became frustrating to me and I just quit. Its a dated game that I thought i give it a shot but it not worth my time in the end to fight all the problems. Combat felt janky and awkward to me as well.

Baldur's Gate 3 showcases the potential to set a new standard for gaming. The game is exceptional as it caters to a mature audience, fearlessly embracing mature themes, including nudity, to authentically depict the complex and nuanced aspects of its narrative and characters (much like Cyberpunk 2077 & Witcher 3). BG3 impresses with its commitment to player choice and consequence, providing a deeply immersive and dynamically shaped narrative experience. Despite occasional performance issues (my computer is low end potato)the developer has been responsive with changes based on player feedback. One of the best turn based RPG games I played and look forward to 100% this game in the future.

I'm going to start off by saying that, if it were possible on Steam, I would give this game a neutral recommendation. Although I haven't had much time to play it, the story appears intriguing and is in line with what I've come to anticipate from a far cry game. On that basis, I would suggest this game as a pleasant addition to the Far Cry series.

I prefer to play these games cooperatively. The coop functioned completely fine for Far Cry 5 and New Dawn. Although not the best, both players can nevertheless enjoy the bare minimum of functionality from those prior titles. Far Cry 6 significantly regressed in this department, to my disappointment. The story's missions and dialogue are invisible to the non-host. Even though it was already terrible enough that non-hosts were not allowed to save their progress in earlier games. Far Cry 6 was made in such a hasty manner as to obviate all opportunity for player participation with the plot. The non-host doesn't hear any dialogue, doesn't see any cut-scenes, and I even read that some of the things, like the wing suit do not work for anyone but the host.

I'm sure I'll eventually finish this game, but it's difficult to persuade someone who likes cooperative games to try it. Similar to how they tricked me with Watch Dogs 2, Ubisoft managed to advertise a cooperative game that is barely passable with little effort. The fact that they already have a baseline for how they create these games and choose to deviate from it illustrates their potential failure as a company.

By the way, where are the steam achievements Ubisoft, you have them for Xbox and Playstation?? Why did you come back to steam if your going to just be this lazy with everything?? Customers make you money not shareholders, start caring about the games you make and those that play them /rant

This game is different from about any MMO I have played prior because the classes have unique skills based on what weapons you use. Part of that uniqueness is this game does not follow the holy trinity of tank, healer, dps. Instead, everyone has built in heals and buffs (some classes are better at tanking and healing than others). Like most MMO’s you get overwhelmed with what to do so I stuck to the story quests after I hit 80. As for the pros and cons:

Pros:

Unique classes: they feel different than other games which is a pleasant change of pace.
World: Large world with lots to do, open public events go on everywhere and there seems to be a lot of activity.

Subscription: You only need to buy the DLC’s and you can play the game with no sub. The base game is free so I would recommend you try this game if you have an itch for a new MMO.

Community: People are friendly, active, and helpful. Feel free to ask your questions

Weapon skills: Diverse options of weapons for classes. An example is the hunter can use a one-handed axe but most of those abilities are ranged attacks on main hand but on offhand those abilities change to melee

Cons:

Weapon options: Every class is mostly melee, with ranged thrown in. I played a hunter as I like ranged classes and found that you mostly would use melee weapons in the later game (especially raids). I can force being ranged by using a long bow and a short bow as a backbar, but this is not ideal in higher end play.

Class progression: I went from feeling strong to feeling very weak as I leveled, gear was hard to come by. Felt like I was getting a lot of gear that was not for my class and I out leveled the story quests so the rewards I received from that as mostly junk to me.

Monetization: As I said in the pros that there is no subscription for this game but the one problem, I see with it is for quality-of-life things like more inventory requires buying things from the shop using gems. Now its possible to get gems by converting gold to gems, but gold is extremely hard to get. Just leveling from 1 to 80 without selling my mats on the auction house I had around six gold. (my understanding is higher end players can make 5g to 25g an hour but this is based on your knowledge of the game and how invested you gotten with upgrades like mounts already) Either way your spending money to have a better experience or your spending a lot of your time grinding for gold so you can have a better experience in the future.

The only game I played that had a similar shop to me was Lost Ark. When I did calculations, you would need to spend $100s to get some basic quality of life stuff to make the game feel better and that is not counting cosmetics. There should be a subscription option that gives you’re a large storage (or unlimited), gems, and some other perks. (Elder Scrolls Online uses this model)

Weapon skills: Yes, I listed this one as a pro, but it is also a con because you are forced to use whatever skills are on those assigned slots. You cannot customize what skills go on what button and you get no other options, so this causes issues if you do not like certain abilities.

Gold sink: Everything cost gold in this game. Scrapping kits to turn items into mats, fast traveling, and gathering tools. There is gathering tools on the shop that do not break but it is over 2000 gems which is $25 or around 500 gold depending how you get those gems. Even at level 80 “junk” items you vendor you were lucky if you received one silver for it.

Overall, I recommend trying this game only because it is free to play the core game. I personally liked the classes uniqueness, but I hate the current monetization model as it reminds me too much of Lost Ark’s approach (minus the pay to win). I personally would rather play Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy Online as they felt like better games overall with better Monetization models.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game. My wife and I love to play coop shooter games together so we bought it, not knowing much about it. This game has elements like Division 1, TC Wildlands, Farcry Series, Fallout 76, etc. I get Division 1 vibes the most from this game because there are tons of things to loot looking for supplies, weapons, clothing, and ammo. There not many humans around and there seems to be an invasion of machines that can be very intimidating. Especially at the beginning of the game when your weapons feel like bb guns with limited ammo going against tanks. There has been many times the wife and I had to run to a building for cover and get bombed at, shooting though windows, just trying to survive. We have had many intense moments and it so much fun.
We both bought all the DLC’s to support the developer and to try more things out. At this time, I have not played the DLC content, but I have enjoyed the weapon packs and new motor bikes in the game. The stock ones are fine, but the DLC ones are such an improvement. They are faster, better fuel efficiently, and handle off-road better. I would recommend at least getting a few weapon packs and the bike pack to have more variety to this game. Like most loot shooters it can be repetitive because all your doing is killing machines in various locations. The key is the learn better techniques and try different weapons out and see how you fair. Base building was another surprise while playing, which enables missions to defend your created base. There also boss type machines with better rewards that can show up. I have yet to see it but there one called a reaper that can show up that is supposed to be extremely tough.
If you only plan to play this game by yourself, I think you will find this game like most games that have coop to be less satisfying. Where this game really shines is coop. Being able to produce strategies to beat the big machines like simply flanking them helps. I only encountered a few minor bugs with no crashes. This is a solid game to play with friends. Highly recommended.

I never played a AC game before this one. From what I hear it does not feel much like a AC either, but I love it. Feels and reminds me of Red Dead Redemption 2 but with Vikings. Just like Red Dead it is open world, you can hunt animals, play mini games with npcs, run into side quests out in the wilds, etc. Speaking of out in the wild, I already found a npc that wants a worthy death so he can be in Valhalla with Ragnar Lothbrok, but he is too hard to fight at such early level. You get to sail on a viking ship and raid other lands as well. Voice acting is done well and I feel very immersed in the viking world.

My only gripe is Ubisoft not having achievements on steam considering if you bought this game on Xbox or Playstation they would be there. I see many people giving the game a negative review because of this, which I do not agree is the right way to voice the issue. I love achievements and I hope they are added at some point. This is the first game Ubisoft has released on steam for some time, maybe later they will bring other games and along with it what the community wants.

My wife likes this game so I play it. I think its a alright game with lots of stuff to do. There is things I seen in this game I would like to see put in other games. I am not into raiding and the fact you have to look up mechanics just so you do not wipe the entire group is ridiculous. This puts tons of pressure on someone new if your the cause of why everyone is dying. Those raiders will expect you to know how to clear it regardless. Can get a bit toxic so beware.

If you like that hardcore kind of raiding with a diablo type combat you will like this game. Me personally I rather play games like Wow, ESO, or Final Fantasy. I will still recommend you try it as its free to play after all. However, nothing really free as you find out with most "free" games.

Amazing game to play solo or with friends. At first you might make the mistake of thinking this is just another Minecraft clone in a viking themed world. It so much more has it own art style which looks amazing. Game play is solid and rewarding and coop really is satisfying.
Game of the year for me!

This game is completely different from anything else I have played before. It can be difficult at first as it forces you to perceive the world in Senua's eyes. By the time you get towards the end you feel like you are feeling what Senua feels.

I found the combat to be tiring and epic at the same time. One moment I feel like a unstoppable warrior and other times just barely able to keep swinging my sword in desperation. That it might be my last breath, my last swing.

This game is a must own work of art. As the game suggests wear those headphones! Looking forward to Hellblade 2
