I could never play fighting games and I thought I never would, but this game has helped me learn to love them. A great entry point for anyone who is looking to try and get into the genre.

I put almost 20 hours into the game and have still not beaten the second confession. Balance on the game is terrible, you have to invest a huge amount of time to even have a chance of beating the mini boss, constantly losing not because you made a mistake or even from getting one unlucky round but just because the games balance made it impossible is not fun.

Only managed to get to the boss of the second confession once. Team had worked great up until than, but then I found out damage over time effects were close to useless on the boss, and all my DPS was damage over time. An over two hour run ending in failure because I had a bad team, something I had no way to predict. At that point I was done.

A grim look at the darker, less hopeful side of trauma and mental illness. Not every story has a happy ending, or even hope for a better future. Sometimes the outlook is overwhelmingly bleak and you feel powerless to change that. This is the feeling capture by this game.

Can be finished in under an hour (getting all the endings will take about 2) and it is worth it.

One of the best games to come out this year. And at only $5 there's no reason not to buy it.

I tried very hard to like this game. I love LWA and I think there is so much potential for a game based off of it. But this game just falls short.

Now it does absolutely capture the spirit of the show. Its writing is fun and I was really happy with the first hour. But once the actual game starts things go down hill. There are two main modes, an adventure game like mode and a beat em up mode. Both are fun for a few minutes, but then you realize how shallow and underwhelming they are. Almost all you do in the adventure mode is repetitive fetch quests, sometimes broken up by some funny dialogue, but mostly its just walk from point a to point b, get the item, walk back to point a. Even with the fast travel you can unlock it is a slog. It's a good idea that's just not executed well

The beat em up doesn't fare much better. Its simultaniously too complex and too simple. There's a huge array of spells, six characters with different play styles, a robust system of loot and enchantments, but really so little of it matters. The combat is just too sloppy and chaotic for any kind of planning, so its best to just spam attacks. You can win almost all the fights by just using your ranged heavy attack over and over. If you can't, just slap on some higher level gear until you can. Again, there's good ideas here that they just can't deliver on.

I got this game on mega sale for like $5, and at that price I'd say I got my money's worth. But for $40? No way, just look up the cutscenes online.

Will sometimes have an FPS in the single digits. Makes encounters with even a single enemy close to unplayable.

It's part adaptation and part addition to the classic story of the same name. It does have some of the nonsense solutions that old adventure games are known for and that can be a real pain. Still it is an interesting experience, not really a fun one because you'll be constantly reminded of the suffering of people essentially in Hell and get to re-live all the horrible stuff they did beforehand (one of the characters was a literal Nazi doctor), but if you want a well crafted, miserable experience with just a little bit of hope waiting at the end this will give it to you.

An absolute joy. Great game with a killer soundtrack. Can't recommend enough.
