TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ Building up your own case.
⭐️ Pinning it on whoever you like (Even if it's wrong).
⭐️ Collecting relics of all sorts.

THE UNIQUES:
💎 Ultimately the decision is yours... just find some convincing evidence.
💎 Building the next perfect paradise.

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Investigation.
💼 Exploration.
💼 Open World.

PROS:
+ Exploring the world will reward you with the evidence you need, it's also great to find all the hidden collectables.

+ You can't just push to the most logical places to start the investigation, things are locked behind pass codes.

+ You can convince the judge to side with you, even if the culprit your going for is innocent.

+ A few puzzles to solve, nothing too difficult.

CONS:
- Characters have small voice overs and sometimes it didn't match with what they were saying.

- It does start to drag near the ending.

- If you've missed certain vital evidence, the characters will confess on trail what they did, this was very annoying for me.

VERDICT:
It seems like this got positive reviews for the wrong reasons, the game is designed for you to investigate each character and build a case around your findings. What I'm seeing, is the game being labelled as a "Open World, Visual Novel" I would agree with certain points but the game still requires you to piece things together and put the evidence in the right places. So to some degree, this is a investigation, it just gives you free reign of asking a bunch of questions without any consequences.

I played this game for the investigation but I enjoyed it because of the world, being able to parkour (Once you've learnt the abilities) Is so fun to do, collecting relics along the way is always something I enjoyed doing. But would I recommend the game for what it's designed for? I'd say yes! It's fun to build up a case and pinning it on one of the characters that you didn't overly like or hardheartedly felt it was them. Just don't expect this to be a full on investigation crime scene, because it isn't.

Total Score = 63/100.

GAMEPLAY:
Players take on the role of protagonist Lady Love Dies, an investigator who is brought out of exile and tasked with uncovering the culprit(s) of a mass murder on Paradise Island. The game's open world, nonlinear design allows players to freely explore the island and interact with other characters over the course of their investigation.

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ Collecting green goo? I dunno, it's for your brain....
⭐️ Trying to save your daughter, it's a hell of a ride!
⭐️ Combat/stealth is so fun!

THE UNIQUES:
💎 The monsters are so creative!
💎 The option to play this in third person or first person.
💎 It's still scary as ♥♥♥♥!

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Survival Horror.
💼 Dark.
💼 Action.

PROS:
+ The first thing I noticed above anything else were how much the controls have improved to the previous title, no more standing up automatically when aiming down the sights! The whole thing feels so much more polished in this area.

+ They've separated the upgrades into two parts, weapons are now upgraded on the workbench and your own abilities are upgraded in the "chair". There's still the green gel but it's no longer used for guns, only for your abilities which make much more sense!

+ A lot of craftables scattered across the map, this made the game so much more fun, being able to craft ammunition is a real game changer for these type of games.

+ The voice acting! Okay some lines are a kinda cheesy but I think this gives Sebastian some personality.

+ I like how Kidman and Sebastian talk about their time inside STEM and nothing feels forgotten, it's a nice touch.

+ The story is top notch, it's better than the first title on so many levels (Not saying the first Evil Within was terrible), they clearly took their time with the plot.

CONS:
- The ending feels a tad ruched, put it this way, the first 1-8 chapters took a little time to get through, where as the remaining chapters were over before they started, given.... this is the only con I could find.

VERDICT:
It's nice to see Sebastian again but why force this guy back into a living nightmare? To save some kid that he thought died in a house fire? Go back the bar buddy, nothing is safer than the bottom of a bottle. All jokes aside, this man is the most fearless detective I've ever played.

If you've played any of the first Evil Within, you'd understand how messed up these places can be, but this guy knows the drill and dives straight back in there to save his daughter, pure madness but one heck of a storyline! If you've played the likes of Resident Evil, Alan Wake or Silent Hill, you'll definitely like Evil Within, it's pretty much a stamped on.

I'd go as far as saying it's as good as the RE series and those are pretty amazing, it's seriously up there, I just hope they don't ruin something this great because it's obvious a third one will come out eventually. Don't delay any longer guys, buy this game!

Total Score = 94/100.

GAMEPLAY:
Similar to its predecessor, the game is a survival horror game. Played from a third-person perspective or a first-person perspective, the player assumes control of detective Sebastian Castellanos, who must descend into the world of Union to rescue his daughter, Lily.

In The Evil Within 2, maps are larger and there are multiple ways for players to advance in a level. The player is also given an item known as "The Communicator", which helps to highlight the objectives, resources and enemies featured in the game's world. It also reveals Resonance points, which provides hints regarding what had happened in the world of Union. Players can explore the map area freely to complete side objectives and scout for resources, which are scarce.

Players can engage in direct confrontation with enemies using weapons like guns, or use stealth to prevent themselves from being noticed or sneak behind enemies to kill them silently

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ Learning skills, but not by levelling.
⭐️ Perfecting your attacks.

THE UNIQUES:
💎 No levelling up system.
💎 RPG elements but this is far from an RPG.

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Open World.
💼 Survival.
💼 Souls-like.

PROS:
+ It takes more than just one button to cast a spell, there's a about 2-4 steps to cast a spell, this is pretty unique!

+ The survival mechanics are spot on! If this was thrown into a more handheld game, I would have adored this!

+ Going on adventures takes preparation, you can't just go out there and expect an easy fight.

+ There's a co-op mode! This is a game changer for a lot of people!

CONS:
- No map markers, I can't sit here and say this is a good thing, I like a little bit of a guide on where to go, but this has nothing! Probably why I disliked this game.

- I know this is a cruel world but why make a game this cruel too? For the first 5-7 hours, you're pretty much sneaking around to scrounge up silver, that may sound like a fun game to some people but not for me.

- It's NOT an RPG if there's no form of levelling up system, I'll probably get some heat for saying this but my argument is valid!

- The weight of certain items, the game forces you to sell goods, so why make items so heavy?

VERDICT:
I'm not going to sit here and ♥♥♥♥ all over this game because I didn't like it, but i'm not going to be fake and say it's a good game. I sit with the people who don't see this as an RPG and more of a survival game with a few RPG elements. This is the biggest problem towards the game, it's borderline false advertisement since it pulls RPG players like me to buy this title.

It's a very well made game with very good survival mechanics, that's the solid truth. A lot of players will enjoy what the game is giving which makes this very hard to thumbs down but I can't ignore how misleading the game is, i'm probably going to get heat for being an ass but I'm a critic and I want to get my message across to perhaps help other gamers avoiding the trap I fell into.

If you're still curious or unsure about Outward then get it on a 50% discount, who knows, you might like this game, i'm just here to give you a little heads up.

Total Score = 58/100.

GAMEPLAY:
Outward includes several survival aspects, such as having to carefully watch one's warmth, hunger, fatigue and thirst. It's also possible for the player character to suffer from such conditions as a cold, a disease or indigestion. Losing all of one's health in battle can lead to a variety of consequences, including being imprisoned by enemies or being brought back to safety by an NPC.

The game has an auto-save system, meaning the player is unable to manually save and return to earlier saves upon death or other such setbacks. While the game has a magic system, spells were specifically designed to be challenging to obtain. Similarly, skills and stat increases must all be earned by completing quests for NPCs or paying experts to receive training. Quests have multiple outcomes, and success or failure can permanently affect the game world and how the story progresses, such as a character being convinced to stay in a faction, or an important city being permanently destroyed if the player fails to kill certain characters.

■■■■■□□□□□ 5/ 10
It's not an RPG game.

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ Solving simple puzzles.
⭐️ Discovering weird and wonderful animals.
⭐️ Using your staff as a hover board.

THE UNIQUES:
💎 It's very relaxing, good for the soul.
💎 Simple but beautiful graphics.

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Cute.
💼 Adventure.
💼 Wholesome.

PROS:
+ It's a very well developed game but what makes this game stand out is it's done by only 1 person, expect for the soundtrack, which is also very well made.

+ The graphics look simple up close but they're visually beautiful at a distance, especially the lighting.

+ Despite there being no words being spoken from the protagonist, the story is told pretty well, very wholesome and some emotional parts.

+ Your companion is so freaking adorable!

CONS:
- The puzzles are very simple, not to say they aren't creative, I enjoyed most of the puzzles, just don't expect a challenge.

- It's very short, that's not to be surprised, this is done by 1 person.

VERDICT:
I absolutely adore these type of games, it's always a joy to play someones hard work, especially if it's done by 1 person, the visuals are great, along with the gameplay too, it's clearly for everyone to enjoy, the difficulty is next to none and you don't have to complete any of the puzzles, thanks to there being multiple way of obtaining the light orbs.

What I enjoyed the most about this game was the floating companion and how your relationship grows as you progress through the story, there were sad moments which brought the whole story to life! It's certainly a wholesome game and deserves to be played, even at full price!

Total Score = 77/100.

GAMEPLAY:
The player controls a character in a third-person perspective through a three-dimensional mystical world. He collects clues about a past civilization, solves various puzzles and meets animals and other fantastic creatures.

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ Doing skateboard skills.
⭐️ Succeeding on difficult maps.

THE UNIQUES:
💎 Skateboarding across obstetrical courses.

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Skateboarding.
💼 Precision Platformer.
💼 2D

PROS:
+ Every level is well thought out and fun to play.

+ The challenges are difficult but their optional.

+ Doing skills to up your score, again, you don't need to have a high score to beat the levels, you just need to clear the course (Unless it's required on a bonus level).

CONS:
- The story is nothing special, I ended up skipping most of the dialog.

- I had fun playing this but I did feel some slight tiredness closer to the end.

VERDICT:
OlliOlii is a very good arcade game and a lot of Tony Hawk fans or just players who like a skateboarding game, I have bad news for gamers who aren't into this, you really do need to have a particular taste to enjoy this game. I enjoyed most of my play though but did start to feel the strain after the 3rd map.

It's worth it for players who like challenges and want to perfect their skills, it's well worth it's asking price if all these boxes are ticked.

Total Score = 60/100.

GAMEPLAY:
OlliOlli World is a 2D-platforming skateboarding game. The game takes place in Radlandia, where the player can interact with the game's characters, and take on side quests. To get high scores, the player is required to chain together tricks in order to get combos. The player can ride walls and grind on rails to increase their score.

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ It's great to sneak around and collecting the evidence you need.

THE UNIQUES:
💎 Time works against you here.
💎 Felt like I had a office job.

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Detective.
💼 Immersive Sim.
💼 Indie.

PROS:
+ I like how real time is given in this game, you're given an hour to snoop around, that's the time limit you have. A nice touch with the watch as well.

+ The stealth mechanics are really good, not being spotted while in the dark or hidden underneath desks. It's a good way to get around.

+ The places they have polished is really well done, a lot of the mechanics feel great to use.

CONS:
- Ran into two major bugs, the first one being an AI leaving with an objective key, resulted in restarting the game, the second bug was not being able to interact with anything, again. I had to restart the game.

- There's no save system! In order to save you need to finish the chapter, so make sure you leave yourself with enough time to finish the chapter.

VERDICT:
I'll be honest here, I didn't enjoy this game due to finding it too difficult for myself. I wasn't hooked on the story or the 1980's vibes either, which didn't stand a chance for me. This doesn't mean it isn't a good game! It's very well made in terms of stealth and interacting with the objects around you.

I bet a lot of you who like detective work will actually like how this game is run, the price is a little steep for what you get but i'd image it's worth it on a 25% discount just be careful, there's a few bugs that resulted in me restarting the game quite early on.

Normally I go with a thumbs up with these type of games but since this game came out in 2019 and the major bugs are still in the game, I'm going to go with a thumbs down this time around, don't hate the review, hate the lack of updates to fix the game.

Total Score = 42/100.

GAMEPLAY:
The game takes place in a single government building, in real-time over four hours. The game advances with or without input from the player, but almost all in-game actions can affect the game's story.

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ Collecting monsters.

THE UNIQUES:
Couldn't find anything unique.

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Turn-Based Combat.
💼 JRPG.
💼 Collectathon.

PROS:
+ The monster design is are well thought out, there's a lot of them and they are creative.

+ The breeding system is pretty neat, there's a lot to do here.

CONS:
- The animations are very poorly done or they're lacking said animation, this is a major part to why the game failed.

- There's plenty of visual bugs such as monsters spawning on top of trees or in the ocean, you can't get to these locations.

- You can somehow fall through a bridge or above some sort of ground area while running, you still appear on the bridge but you can't move, forcing you to restart the game.

- General layout is outright ridiculous, some of the options don't even tell you what they are.

- Randomly level generated monsters, I went into a cave and one monster was level 7 and a few steps up the next monster was level 25.

- Dialog issues all around, these include such as rebattling bosses once you've already won their monster.

- Carrying more than 1 egg can sometimes erase another egg.

- Music can bug out when travelling to another location.

- Loading times are extremely long, it shouldn't take this long for this type of game.

VERDICT:
The list could go on with how many bugs/issues there are in this game, to make things worse, it's been pulled from early access in this state which gives you a clear picture on what type of company these guys are. You can excuse some of these bugs but most of them are down to lack of care.

Please don't waste your money on this game, there's plenty of other turn-based monster games that does a far better job than this.

Total Score = 14/100.

GAMEPLAY:
Heavily inspired by early games in the Pokémon series, it features similar mechanics, but with a darker fictional universe and storyline.

Just play Pokemon guys.

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ Having the power to determine a patient sane or insane.
⭐️ The devices are all fun to use.

THE UNIQUES:
💎 So many endings which keeps you interested to play again.
💎 Being a "doctor" and deciding your patients fates.

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Time Management.
💼 Political.
💼 Choices matter.

PROS:
+ Having the choice to brainwash people or actually curing them, the choices are limitless due to how many patients you can see, each of them having different outcomes on how you treat their illness.

+ The pixel art is very unique, it gives of a retro-futuristic style, I love these type of styles, it goes well with the story as well.

+ The soundtrack is so cool! Very futuristic, the sounds on the devices are pretty good too.

+ So many mental/social illnesses that are very real in our lives, this may hit certain people differently but I thought it was a very creative idea.

CONS:
- The story is good but it's very predictable on where things were going, their's two major paths that sprout off into smaller paths until you get an ending. I did like this idea but the story is a little shallow.

- There's next to no information about your daughter, no backstory, just that she was vital for the structure. This goes with the story but I wanted it to be a separate con

VERDICT:
A lot of people are relating this game to Papers Please. I can see the resemblance to some degree but this is clearly just inspiration for their game, a platform for the devs to use to get their game noticed. I personally think they did a good job on the games mechanics, it's really fun to use these devices to your own gain.

The only real negative would be their story, a little more description in terms of your characters backstory and the world around you. Such as the rebels, why are they so against the structure? Same for the structure, we don't get a real in depth on why they don't care about the people in the city.

Overall I enjoyed the game regardless of the story, running around and curing or brainwashing people is actually a fun way to spend your evenings! It's worth playing just for this reason.

Total Score = 73/100.

GAMEPLAY:
Mind Scanners is a retro-futuristic psychiatry simulation in which you diagnose the citizens of a dystopian metropolis. Locate a host of other-worldly characters and use arcade-style treatment devices to help them. Manage your time and resources to keep The Structure in balance.

■■■■■■■□□□ 7 / 10

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ Trying to figure out their issues.

THE UNIQUES:
💎 The Vampire Star? What? It's unique I suppose.
💎 A deeper hidden story.

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Visual Novel.
💼 LGBTQ+
💼 Physiological horror.

PROS:
+ There is a deeper story here, I just missed it during my run through.

+ This will effects us all differently, some may dislike this, some may enjoy and understand what the two characters are going through. And then there's people like me who didn't dislike this but also didn't understand it's meaning.

CONS:
- The sounds are dreadful, it literally went right through me, turn your volume before playing, you'll thank me later.

- The story is decent, if you're on the same wave length as the devs, I didn't get it and was more confused after the ending.

- The symbols are very strange and might be difficult for most people to understand what their choosing. It becomes more obvious the more you play but there should be a graph to show what the symbols mean.

- No fast forwards for subsequent playthroughs.

VERDICT:
What has this got to do with a vampire? Did I completely miss something here? If you have similar issues to what the game is entailing then maybe this game is for you, otherwise I'd say it's not worth your time. I understand the story now that I've looked it up but the whole point with these games is that the story should explain it for you. This is the biggest fall towards the game.

Total Score = 41/100.

GAMEPLAY:
Milky Way Prince - The Vampire Star is a Graphic novel that tells a story about a morbid story about an ill love and a partner with bipolar disorder.

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ Running away from a bunch of die hard atheists.
⭐️ Experiencing a horrifying childhood.
⭐️ Watching childbirth.

THE UNIQUES:
💎 A new angle on looking at Jesus!
💎 Sacrificing children.... yep.

PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Psychological Horror.
💼 Survival Horror.
💼 Dark.

PROS:
+ The story is very unique, I can say for certain that I haven't played a game where Christians are sacrificing their spawn because they believe their the anti-Christ. I've played some disturbing games but this sits on the cream of the crop.

+ The give and chase is very good! It's not constant but it's enough to feel like a mob or Marta (The holy religious chick that chases you with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pickax) are just around the corner to give chase.

+ The atmosphere around the villages are brilliant, dark, filled with sick demented folk that want you and your unborn child dead, or born, depending on what part of the village you're at.

+ Staying alive with just a tape recorder and a handful of bandages, you can't kill or harm any of the enemies, the only way to survive is to flee and hide.

+ A bunch of jump scares or just feeling outright terrified to step out of the long grass or out of blood filled barrels.

CONS:
- It's agonisingly dark in certain parts of the game, especially if you've run out of batteries. They clearly intended for this to happy but it left me more confused than scared.

- Despite the graphics and sounds being much better in Outlast 2, I still enjoyed Outlast 1 that much more, this might be a person con since I liked the story a little more with the first game.

VERDICT:
I've grown quite an immunity to horror games over the years but this one got me, it's got all the elements for someone to ♥♥♥♥ their pants, it has the perfect number of jump scares to keep you thinking if their's going to be another one just over this hill or around that corner.

I liked how it showed Blake's past and how corrupt his catholic school was. I'll warn you now, the whole game is deeply disturbing, the story is wrapped around child abuse and the potential of the anti-Christ. A lot of developers won't touch this type of thing due to how sensitive the subjects are but you've gotta admire Red Barrels, they know how to make a disturbing game. It's not for the faint hearted, you'll either think it's well written or some messed up game developers, both would be correct statements.

Total Score = 79/100.

GAMEPLAY:
A sequel to the 2013 video game Outlast, the game features a cameraman named Blake Langermann, along with his wife Lynn, a journalist roaming the Arizona desert to explore the murder of a pregnant woman only known as Jane Doe.[2] Both get separated in a helicopter crash, and Blake has to find his wife while travelling through a village inhabited by a deranged sect that believes the end of days are upon them.
