This game represents the best and worst perspective of Ubisoft development .

The best in that
, it started off as kind of a flop, but Ubisoft stuck with it and rehabilitated it into one of the most popular multiplayer games out there now, whereas most developers would have just given up and let it die. The reason why this game is still here right now is because of its unique gameplay in its own way : team-based tactics with specialized gadgets and skills , competitive format 5v5 like CSGO or LOL , competitive and hardcore gameplay . But it's nothing the same to CS GO so if you're a former CSGO player like me , you won't find it easy to start off , but on the other hand , beside team-based gameplay , it's still depends on your skills and how you learn to tackle or execute the situations , and when you know how the things work , it turns out to be very enjoyable and addictive . That's what i experienced over the time , i got like over 1000 hours into it right now on my Uplay account and 170 hours into this Steam account at the moment , and i can guarantee you , it knows how to get you back into the action after all those years ..

The worst in that
, it slowly trying to become the next EA from what i can see right now . They announced the new "Advanced Edition" which in my opinion is kinda unfair for people who started from the beginning . We paid 60$ for the base game and 3 season passes which is another 90$ , everything in total is 150$ . But for that we only get 4 Outbreak packs in the upcoming event in March where the new players will get 10 packs with 120$ advanced edition . Lately , from the over-reaction of the player-base , they decided to give an Elite skin for the players as a compensation . But for now , because it's not even out yet , it's not a problem for me , the real thing is here : cosmetics . It feels great when you dont really have to pay for season pass , it all depends on you , so another way for the devs to get their money is to make cosmetic items , and again , you don't have to buy it . So why it's a problem to me !? Cosmetics are getting the way into the game way too much , most of the skins are ridiculously priced and their lookings are sometimes too terible and unrealistic as well for example : the lastest Echo Bundle . They're running out of ideas right now since most of the bundles look just like a re-skin from another one , for example : compare the differences between the latest Buck/Frost bundle to their Blood Orchid bundle , i guarantee you won't find any differences . So i have one advice for you before buying any cosmetics item in game : don't trust the artwork , go inside the ops page , look for the actual ingame render to be sure , and when i say it , most of the things look much uglier than the artwork itself , you will believe it when you see it .

And for some new players , if you're reading this and planning to buy , dont buy the starter edition , it will be gone when the next Outbreak event is live , but still worth mention though . Why it's bad ? It's clearly cheaper to standard edition and you can get access to anything like the standard edition , BUT you will have to start with only 2 ops and you will have to grind a lot to get the others . With standard edition you can get ALL original ops for 25.000 Renowns , but for Starter Edition , you will have to pay 12.500 Renowns for just 1 ops , and that doesnt count DLC ops where you have to grind 25.000 Renowns just for 1 . Do the math yourself :) .

So here is my summary about my review :
Pros :
Great gameplay , team based tactics , great operators ideas , skills and special gadget , it's unique in its own way .
Intense gun fight , you can do some cardio excercise without running when you are the only one left trying to clutch the round .
Special skill from each operators can counter another skill , make a good use of it is the best way to play this game .
Great graphics , well-optimized game
Cons :
You have to use uplay with this , even when you buy the Steam version like me , it turns out now i have to use 2 seperate Uplay accounts to play :) .
Digital cosmetics items are ridiculously priced and not really worth it . Beside that , in-game cosmetics are also sometimes unrealistic and you have to pay by using R6 Credit (which you only get from paying real money) .
Starter Edition is unecessary and too much grinding for new players , it's not really as "welcoming" as advertised ! When you finally realize that you want to "get serious" in the game , it's too late then , you will end up have to pay more than the standard edition itself to get the ops you need . Otherwise if you dont mind it and have a lot of time to grind ....then consider it's a good deal
The servers / netcode is not good even though they updated it to 60hz .
Hackers are back in the game now , especially in ranked matches to carry others .
Level 20-25 is too early to get to ranked , i'm not talking about smurf but new players . My opinion is 50 and above .
Matchmaking is ridiculous sometimes when you get to match with un-equal skill level to yours , oh wait , ranked is still in beta .

My verdict is .... i would say Fuze The Hostage on the scale of Ash Rush and Jager spawnkill .
