I think this game has a lot of cool concepts going for it, though I think getting all the extra memory slots for the characters you play as can be a real grind fiesta.

There are also some secret technologies in the game which there are hints as to how you unlock them but some of them can be extremely vague.

There's this one secret tech which says "unlocked by proving you don't need expansion", which I would assume means winning a game without placing any flags down to expand your territory. This doesn't unlock it, it gets mildly annoying when you get a hunch of how to unlock it but then find out it's wrong.

That one in particular I think is very misleading.

There's another secret tech in the game which says: "unlocked by thinking about the nomads", there are nomads in the game that frequently visit the world and there is also the thinking ability that all of your characters have. If you kill the other ai characters that spawn in they will drop knowledge which you can go to and "think".

So I would assume "thinking about the nomads" means killing them and taking their knowledge. Guess not. :/

Overall pretty good game, just very annoying for people like me who just want everything unlocked, there's also a lot of bugs in the game such as your citizens not doing the tasks you tell them to do for seemingly no reason.

Pls fix ai teammates in arena, they're really dumb.

Most often I find myself bringing 4 guys to a mission just for 3 of them to run off to the other side of the map just to kill one guy (getting killed or severely hurt in the process). I end up having to spam ctrl + lmb to get them back every 5-10 seconds. This is especially annoying on missions like the bank heist where enemies are ruthless and to just have my guys running out into the streets with a deathwish is just no fun.

Main story is a real banger though.

Pros:
+ Lots of variety of skills.
+ Promising for being EA.

Meh:
* Many possible builds. Though only a strict few are viable on higher curse levels.

Cons:
- On higher curse levels you end up circling around your enemies as there's not many other viable strats.
- Too much aoe (everything is an aoe).
- On higher curse levels all enemies end up being bullet sponges.
- Resource gathering for items can take several days or weeks depending on how much time you have on your hands.

TLDR:
Looks promising for being in early access but could do with some balance changes towards higher curse levels.

I haven't played this in a while but the game still looks great. The events and new mission types that come with seasons are some of the most fun I've had in games.

I stopped playing this consistantly when the performance pass came out and now find myself playing only when the major updates and events drop. I think it's pretty neat how the performance pass is all free with no way of paying for faster progression or instant levels but it's just not my cup of tea.

I think it's very good to note that I was somewhat of a collector before the performance pass dropped. I wanted every cosmetic, weapon, overclock, etc and farmed for these things for as much time as I could reasonably dedicate to the game without exposing my private life.

I think it's pretty cool how all the items from the performance pass carry over to the machine events and yellow boxes at the end of a season so that players who did not partake can still get them, but I also think the cosmetics are too many and boxes too few. For as many seasons as I have skipped by now it would take me ages to farm all of the cosmetics.

That said though, beneath the grind it's a very fun and polished experience where you're guaranteed to go through a lot of engaging and memorable moments. :)

Ps. If you don't care about all the cosmetics and stuff like me then this is a 10/10 masterpiece.

I've never done pixel art before but this program has definitely helped me out a lot. The layout is very simple to remember and simple to use. Animating is also very simple once you get the hang of it.

I've played around with both animations and full on artworks for a while now and always got what I wanted out of it. Also, it's free so I see no bad in you at least trying it out if you're interested in pixel art. :)

Overall Score: 10/10

A masterpiece ruined by heavy microtransactions, game-breaking updates, extremely poor balancing and never a feeling of being rewarded in ranked duels. (Referring to ranked-exclusive items having way too low of a drop chance)

There is too much wrong with the game and in my humble honest opinion, I don't really think they care. If I were you I would save that money for something more complete that isin't published by Ubisoft.

Overall Score: 4.7/10

I've had a blast playing this, it is the first souls-like game I've ever played and I can't recommend it enough.
The combat is very hard but gets rather easy when you get good at reading your enemies.

The only complaint I really have is that you can't trade 999 spirit emblems (the max amount) for an unlimited supply that functions like gourd seeds.

9/10 would die again...

10/10 Would soda again.
