Literally the best game ever. I've sunk so many hours into this game over the years, and with the insane amount of community mods, you'll never run out of things to do.

Chaos;Child is an absolutely amazing Visual Novel whose story is perhaps one of the best I've seen in any type of fiction. I would say it's the best Science Adventure game, even surpassing Steins;Gate. The game's production value is also amazing, with beautiful and high-quality character designs, CGs, sound, and UI. Its murder mystery is captivating, and the twists and turns of its story kept me engaged all the way through. It is a long visual novel, and if you aren't a fan of reading hours of friendly banter between the characters, you may get frustrated by the game's slow pace at times. However, as you get to know and enjoy the characters better, these slower-paced more slice of life sections become even more enjoyable. It took me 32 hours to complete the common route, and about 20 to finish the game after that. I loved all of the side routes, and the way that the true ending wrapped everything from all of the routes together made it well worth the 50 hours spent to reach it.

For fans of the anime, this Visual Novel is a must-read, even more so than the original Steins;Gate. The S;G anime was a much more faithful adaptation of the S;G VN due to the VN's relatively simple story whose alternate endings didn't matter too much.

S;G 0 on the other hand is a very non-linear VN with two main branches that each have multiple endings and the two branches interact in a way that leads to the true ending. Because of this complexity, the anime had to decide one one route to take to tell the story. They did this my mixing together multiple of the routes and endings in the VN to create a cohesive, linear story. This definitely isn't a bad thing, but it does mean that there is a lot of amazing content in the VN that wasn't present in the anime.

This is why I think that this VN is more "worthwhile" to read if you are a fan of the anime. Especially if you want a "jumping in" point for the rest of the SciAdv series, I think S;G 0 is a great introduction to visual novels for a fan of the S;G animes due to having a faster initial pace than the S;G VN, as well as being a great mix of familiar and new content for people who have seen the anime.

The first real big AAA VR game, and it feels like it. While it might not have the same level of interactivity as other games like boneworks, it makes up for that with an amazing story, atmosphere, and level of polish not found in any other VR game to date. It has breathtakingly beautiful moments as well as suspenseful and horrifying ones. And not to mention SPOILER an ending that sets up for Half Life 3 SPOILER. This game truly FEELS like a Half-Life game that will be remembered to be even more influential and groundbreaking than its predecessors.

Literally one of the best and most iconic games of all time. A classic, which has influenced many games, with graphics that, while dated, still looks amazing for 2004. And there's no better time to play through the game than now, with HL:Alyx right around the corner. Overall, if you haven't played it, just do it! Especially because it's free right now.

Early Access Review
This game has Flaws. But it is also incredibly fun. It's buggy, poorly optimised, and frustrating, but I still love it. However, I would not reccomend buying it if neither of these two things apply to you. You are a hardcore FPS player who will play tons of tryhard solo games, or are casual-semi hardcore and have a freind or group of freinds to play with. I personally fall into the second camp. I only have about 2 or 3 wins, but they have all been with a group of freinds. Even if I don't win much, playing with freinds makes it all worth it. Overall, this is one of my favorite and most played games of 2017.
