I never played the original game. In the short amount of time ive been playing, every thing feels great. I havent encountered any bugs. Parkour feels great. Combat is impressive though a bit finnicky with enemies tracking hits sometimes.

However, the atmosphere of is amazing. I actually feel nervous about going out into the world especially at night. Going indoors is scary af. If i had to relate this experience to any other game, I would compare it to when I first played far cry 3 years ago. Same curiosity and overall immersion level. Good game highly recommend.

You can tell a lot of hard work and tears have been put in to this game by the devs and more will continue. The world is immersive and everything i hoped for.

However, the launch of this game in the buggy state it is in I cannot recommend it RIGHT NOW.
Even though I love the game so far and can turn a blind eye to the (mostly) visual bugs, I cannot support devs releasing games in states like this. 1 or 2 bugs is fine but they knew what they were releasing and were too scared to delay it again. Also the whole being super strict with reviews and leaks saying "we should experience the story and gameplay first hand". If CDPR truly believes in this, shouldn't they also want to give us a smooth experience where we aren't drawn out of immersion due to hilarious obvious bugs? Instead, they hid gameplay from us up till release and didn't give out console review copies because they knew they were releasing a buggy a** game. Don't support this.

You can't have your cake and eat it too, CDPR.

EDIT: While my points down below still apply, the game is still enjoyable. If there is anyway to describe it, it would be eating at mcdonalds. you know what you are going to get everytime, you know you like it you just dont want it all the time.

Finished the main story, 3/4 done with the cultist line, barely started the atlantis dlc. I can't force myself to finish the rest of this game. I don't want to invade one more fort or kill more ships in order to level up in order to do the rest of the content, nor do I wanna do anymore of the (mostly) bad side quests hoping I maybe get an interesting story out of one of them. This game just doesn't click for me. Alexios just doesn't click for me. The side characters don't click for me. I DO NOT give a f*** about Herodotis or Barnabas.

Now the open world is beautiful, but the only draw back is everything is so far away from each other. It gets pretty old having to fast travel in this game because it can still take up to 10-20 minutes just to get to a quest location.]

Conclusion, if you want to see a beautiful rendition of ancient greece, buy this game because they did a damn good job of doing it. Even with fictional islands like Lemnos. (I AM AN ANCIENT GREECE FAN) I have read Plato, Aristotle, Sophocles so i do enjoy some ancient greece, but this game comes off to me as exhausting. Wait for a sale, buy it knowing you will be disappointed by the story but who knows the open world might invigorate you enough.
