How can I put my love for this game into words? It's a difficult question. I've played around 160 hours in two weeks, so don't expect objectivity from me.

Underrail is probably one of the most satisfying, deep, and rewarding RPG experiences that I have had in recent years. The storytelling, dialogue, and characters are absolutely phenomenal. You will find yourself engrossed in this world that perfectly encapsulates what it means to live in a post-apocalyptic hellscape. This is the game Fallout wishes it could be.

Don't let the turn based combat put you off - it put me off for years, which I now regret. It's difficult, you'll die - a lot (no really, a lot) no like, really, you'll spend most of your time dying). But when you overcome your current obstacle, you get that beautiful rush of dopamine and pure satisfaction. Just remember to quicksave before the next obstacle kills you.
