If you ignore all the PSN drama, it's a very good game, 9/10.

If you don't ignore the PSN drama, then sure, Arrowhead made the decision to cooperate with Sony, but both backed down on forcing us to use PSN to sign in, which means both companies are willing to listen to their players.

Don't be cringe and say "We won the battle, screw Sony!", "Sony got what they deserved!". They just tried something, saw the players didn't like it, and backed down. If you left a negative review over the PSN drama but enjoy the gameplay, change your negative review to a positive one, because there are hardly ANY companies that would make a decision to back down solely based off player feedback. It just shows both Arrowhead AND Sony care for the players.

It's good. I'd rate it 8.5/10.

It's similar and different to Skyrim. A lot of mechanics work the same, but there are also new mechanics which make it a bit more difficult than Skyrim, at least in my opinon.
-Fast travel is limited to scrolls and "Myrad Towers", but to towers across the map.
-Health potions give you "Arcane Fever", along with healing spells. You'll need "Ambrosia" to treat it.
-Lots of minions to conjure.
-Charismatic characters, with a good story.
-They've added a lot more being a werewolf, along with a "phasmalist" skill tree.
-There's not really any Lydia type of companions, but the phasmalist skill tree makes up for it with summoning NPC spirits, which you can equip with gear that possibly make them stronger than basic conjuration minions.
-You level your skills through skill books, which can be found or bought. Tip: Don't hesitate to buy skill books, but do them according to what build you planned.

Only issues in my opinion are:
-Little buggy with the NPCs.
-You'll see a LOT of duplicates set items.
-Very few quests have this bug, but you'll get a tiny bounty for completing them.
-Hits rarely don't register, but it sucks when it happens.
-There's nobody to carry your goods, but there's a spell that summons a spectral chest. The capacity depends on the level of the spell, starting at 30. Bit meh but it works I guess.
-I occasionally have to use commands to get myself out of, or fix cutscenes/npc interactions.

There's not much bad to be said here, honestly. I like comparing my character's strength to the Dragonborn's on a detailed level. The game feels like a bonus episode of a show that has nothing to do with the main story, just a cool story with cool events happening on the sideline.

It's been a great experience so far. 100 hours in, feel like maybe 70 of them were active, but there's still lots to do in the game. Lots of content, very fun and interesting.

Got on over 10 years later to check in.

Followed a big azz river for about 30 minutes, saw icy mountains and a desert in the VERY far distance, realized it would take another 30 minutes just to reach them.

Not a single structure in sight the whole time.

10/10 Nostalgia Restored

I'm sad it's over.

I've got lots of side quests, Merlin trials, Ancient Energy, and a few more activities to complete, but I never wanted the main story to end. Professor Fig is such a good companion, and he was by my side from start to finish. The story of Sebastian Sallow is such a tragedy, I just wish there was more I could do for him and his sister. Professor Weasly is pure at heart and just an awesome character. The other professors are all such characters in their own way. The diversity in people is hardly forced in my opinion, because the wizarding world expands across the entire globe in this universe anyways.

The characters are so likable, (except Sirona and maybe the Treadwells,) and the quests and story are just phenomenal. This game's charm is ex-crucio-tingly captivating and immersive. I RARELY play stories a second time through, but this one is so good, I can't help myself. I looked up how to complete two puzzles, and I felt bad about both because I was capable of figuring them out without looking it up. So I played the rest without the internet's help, and that just made the experience SO MUCH BETTER. The combat is extremely versatile, and the system allows you to really customize your playing style.

I can't blame them for putting Sirona in, though. They probably made a good couple hundred grand extra off the gullible and sheep-like trans community. Sirona is just a female character model with a Male face model, and the voice is somewhat disturbing. I actually find it humorous with how half-baked the character is. Then again, I wouldn't try very hard on such a being either. But money is money, and they probably benefited off biting that bullet.

You don't have to like Harry Potter to enjoy this game. This game's a masterpiece. I couldn't recommend it enough, but I will say, legendary loot is a bit too common. Natty's the blandest character I've ever seen though. Like seriously, she has like no emotion behind her words. Aside from the minute flaws, this is probably one of my favorite games ever now.

I'm just sad the story's over. I really want more of it. :(

I can't believe how good it is. It's like Valheim had a baby and the baby carried all the genetics, but in higher resolution. I bought it at 81% positive reviews about 4 or 5 days ago, and now it's at an 84% positive review rating. There is too much to do. Too much to say, but I'll break it down to key points.

-Progression is long lasting. You start with a "Fire Shrine". It's one of your fast travel points that you can freely place almost anywhere, and build around to make it home. You also begin the game with 2. There are "Elite" enemies that drop an item to give you more coverage of the map. You take their head to your fire shrine, upgrade it, and you can now walk through the next level of fog and explore areas you couldn't before for each different elite enemy head you bring it. You also gain +2 to your flame shrine limit per enemy, which means more places you can customize and fast travel to.

- The map is awesome. You can break the ground however you'd like by tunneling, and you can replace it to fill holes too. Cave houses are possible, and some dungeons require you to break terrain to progress. The landscape is visually stunning with each biome there is. The map is not randomly generated like Valheim though. Lots of villages, caves, dungeons, camps, nests, and more types of areas to explore to complete quests that unlock advanced tech and whatnot, each biome having different difficulties than the last. It's really great. The loot is cheesable because you can not only relog to respawn loot, but place a fire shrine nearby to teleport to your farming spots easily.

- The loot table is kinda basic. I love these types for some odd reason. There are some chests in specific dungeons that will give the same loot every time you loot them. Aside from those, the loot is the classic common to legendary tier system. Large variety of one/two handed melee/range/magic that can spawn from common/uncommon/rare/epic/legendary, which is a system I personally love. Obviously the higher the tier, the less likely to roll from opening chests, yadda yadda, however I've noticed no tier system for armors. But there's still plenty of armor to find and craft, trust me.

- Combat is pretty much Elden Ring, but simpler. There's a large skill tree similar to skyrim, but mapped out on paper instead. The melee starts somewhat slow, but gets way more fast paced as you unlock skills to double jump, ground slam, teleport replaces your roll, evade combo attacks, all kinds of things to mix melee up. It get's extremely customizable and creative later in the game. The magic has wands and staves, where wands cast some Hogwarts type projectiles, which is really handy and maneuverable making dodging and parrying easy, or staves, which are slower, bulkier, but much more powerful with many different spells to use. The spells are consumable until late game, where there are eternal versions that are permanent. The bows are just cheesy. Any time I have trouble with a boss, I stand up somewhere and shoot their face as they stare at me angrily. It's really great, but they can destroy structures under you, making you fall.

- The building is perfect. It's a nice combination between Valheim and MC. You can place 1x1 blocks, which are tiny, but with a construction hammer, you can place them up to 4x4. There are plenty of textures to build with the more you mine mineral veins, allowing extremely detailed and creative buildings. It's just perfect imo.

The UI is simple and awesome but for some reason, viewing the map is laggy. The game is smooth and just fine, but the maps laggy, I don't even care though because the game is epic. Game requires decent PC specs though. Craftings fun, the developers clearly care and are working on improvements and developing the game further, I can't wait to see what more there is to come.

This game is utter ♥♥♥♥.

It's pay to win, obviously, but to top it off, they recently added an Arcanist class that you can only access by buying Necrom, not even ESO+, and surprise surprise, you can deal 12,000-25,000 damage in one hit with the class.

Don't get this game. Todd Howard's on his high horse again...

You know they really felt bad for Miyazaki when they gave him the award after making this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. I loved Dark Souls 3 until I played this utter piece of absolute ♥♥♥♥. Now I know they're related and it makes me sick.
