Despite the Gearbox IP acquisition, this is still an excellent game.

This game gave me hours of fun and is easily my #1 roguelite game next to Hades and Deadcells, I recommend it for that alone. While I'm also upset about gearbox buying the IP, this game at its current state is still an 11/10. Yes, gearbox will probably ruin the franchise down the line given their track record, but if that time does come people will think of the 'good old days', 'when ror2 was good..' etc. and guess what those times are still here! If you haven't tried ror2+survivors of the void now is your chance, because it's probably downhill from here now.

Unfortunately the game is unstable and dips fps after playing for about 1 hour. The only way to fix this is to restart the game and this severely hinders any enjoyment to be had.

My specs are:
Ryzen 5 3600
Gigabyte Geforce RTX 3070 Gaming OC
G.Skill Ripjaws 3200mhz cl16 2x8GB

I average around 80 fps, maxed out ultra ray tracing at 1080p. I would be playing normally without issues and after about 45 mins - 1hr the game dips to low 40s, (low 30s at night). This breaks immersion entirely.
I posted this on the game's subreddit and got a whole bunch of responses from people with 2080ti's to 3080ti's having the same issue with more than 2x my cpu power. The only way to fix is to restart the game entirely. People are saying that this may be a memory leak issue.

Wait for a sale and a much needed stability patch.

I cannot play co-op with my friend despite turning on UPnP on our routers and we both have NAT and UPnP on the green. We even tried matchmaking and finding some randos but no luck still getting "Connection Failed". We had no problem playing together on Remnant of the Ashes and Borderlands 2, games that use p2p. I don't understand how its this hard to get co-op running on this game, its very unfortunate.

Definitely has potential

One of the most annoying issue I've encountered in my first hour is that it's very hard to shoot enemies point blank, even with a shotgun. shots would miss half the time even if my crosshair is right at the enemy. Very frustrating especially during the night defense when the hunter type enemies are clawing you down but your shotgun isn't doing anything point blank.

I am enjoying it so far though and this game can definitely be amazing with the right fixes

Bought this today and I'm really enjoying this game but it crashes on me randomly, its happened 3 times during my first 20 mins

most terrifying underwater game i've ever played

SEA servers are terrible.
I never got below 200 ping. It's very unfortunate because I really wanted to enjoy this game as a lot of people say its really good
