Operation: Right the Ship is underway. After the success of Operation Nuke Sony, Helldivers are asked to do their part in making things right again. Be vigilant however, as the threat of Lawyers remains in the outskirts. Be ready to strike should they raise their fascist heads again.

Buggy, but we knew that coming in. What i wont allow to walk off is the lazy way space travel was done. Its all loading screens/cutscenes. Going inside a shop? loading screen. Going to another planet? loading. Cave? Loading. Leaving planets, flying to another in the same system? Cutscene/loading scene. Im using an ssd so they're not long, but the constant cutting is crazy, like the game is 1000 parts glued together. Even moving your ship from one orbit to another is a cutscene. Go play a seamless space game like No Man's Sky. That one at least lets you go wherever you want with little to no interruption/cutscenes. In fact, after experiencing the clunkiness of Todd's latest wild ride, I'm headed there now.

Some graphical blur every now and then and slow movement if a lot of animals on screen(slowed a bit when i found the mooncalves) but the talking/moving statues and paintings, the ghosts wandering the halls, the feel of the locations...It's what I wanted. I know what a howler looks like. I know what a venomous tentacula looks like. It's wonderful as someone who knows this stuff from stories and books to get a visual where i can walk around things I've only read about. Combats also not that bad. Completely possible to clear some camps/bases/outposts with stealth. Get behind them and hit F (i don't remember it being posted anywhere, i was looking through all spells. The petrificus totalus is listed in the gray spots with revelio near the bottom).

Kind of aimless at the moment, and it can be a bit slow, but its still fun watching the area around you develop. Made me stop and stare as i saw the gradual change from a dead world to a land of, well, spoilers

It's so frustrating, i want to hate it. Yet that bit by bit progression as you learn from the mistakes is what makes it so addicting. Next time you know not to risk too many in a fight. Next time you know about the meta events that move zombies. Next time you know about how fast food rots...

While its best to avoid the newer ships until they figure out why things spaz out and explode randomly (like the bug on a lot of new ships where draining fuel causes the engines to detonate, the exact opposite of whats supposed to happen) taking apart a large ship piece by piece is pretty relaxing. You get into a pattern, with nothing but the sound of your cutting laser and the tethers. Next thing you know, you're three shifts in and all that's left is a few plates not worth the time to salvage.

rimworld in space is a bit too simple, but at the moment i really dont know what else to call it. Buggy at the current build, but i havent seen any actual crashes in over 70 hours on the game. It's all odd stuff like "the game has spawned another ship in your fleet out of the ether with a full crew but no supplies so you're crew size will instantly double/triple. Have fun."
