A very good objective-based multiplayer team game.
The different heroes are all very distinct in their gameplay, the games are short (more or less 10 minutes) but intense, and the action is fast-paced.
Basically, the game is crazy good. The only problem for me is that it's multiplayer, meaning you have to interact with other people and if you don't play with friends, you won't have a say in who you interact with. Most of the time, there's no problem, but one rotten apple every once in a while is enough to spoil the game.
And since the action is so intense, it easily pushes the weak-willed to bouts of rage. Many players just straight-up disable the chat, which is a bit too bad considering Overwatch is supposed to be a team game.

Also, my opinion (and you have the right to disagree) is that the best way to play once you're familiar with all the heroes is the mode Mystery Heroes which makes you change heroes randomly. It removes the strategy of choosing a hero to outplay the opponent, but it also lets you play with every hero without anyone complaining. And that's a big plus.

Now, you'll see that most reviews are negative, but most of them don't even say why. Know that it's just a review bombing because they don't like how Activision manages the game. Like every other Activision game, it's obvious the management decided to cut in the bugdet to create less and to always ask for more money from their customers. That said, the basic product is very good and the few remaining underpaid developpers are doing their best despite their work conditions.
Yes, the skins have outrageous prices, but it doesn't bother me as I still haven't figured why someone would pay for skins. It seems I'm in the minority in this regard...

Just hardcore for hardcore's sake. Either you need to be very patient, which isn't very fun, or you play in assist mode which kinda defeats the point of playing the game in the first place.
Not even particularly good looking or interesting in its story.
Not a bad game, but certainly not a good one either.

Very fast and fun action/platform game. Outstanding gameplay.
Too bad it's a rogue-lite (meaning a lack of progression and lots of very frustrating deaths), but it's telling that I enjoyed Dead Cells so much despite this point.

I don't like giving negative reviews, but I really couldn't recommand Town of Light.
It's basically a walking simulator, which isn't always a bad thing, but this one is overly long and overly slow. And the story is very abstract.
The atmosphere is very well done and the theme is interesting (albeit very bleak). I could have recommended it if there was a way to walk faster and if the game actually told the player what is expected from them. As it is, you'll spend too many hours doing long strolls from one side of the map to the other, not knowing where you're supposed to go, and at an awfully slow pace.
Way to kill the mood.

Careful: saved game corruption abounds. Make copies of your save directory regularly.

Not such a bad game, with nice 2D graphics, and dialogs are actually pretty funny, but it just didn't entertain me.

I couldn't say why exactly. Maybe it's the lack of a true story, or the gameplay feels too unoriginal, or it's the way the collectibles are impossible to get without a guide (that last point really hits a nerve).

Whatever the reason, I didn't finish it, and it's very rare I don't finish a game. I usually grit my teeth and just get it done, but here I felt I was wasting my time. It just didn't procure me any sense of fun. It wasn't even that difficult...

Sorry for this unhelpful review. It happens that I can't figure out why I love a game, but I think it's the first time I can't figure out why I didn't like one.

Basically, Oxenfree isn't a bad game. Clearly, there is love behind its creation. The music is good, the dubbing is excellent, and the atmosphere is pretty well done too.

The reason why I don't recommend Oxenfree is that it's incredibly slow. The only gameplay consists in going from one point to another at a crawling speed along tortuous roads. It's boring. Really boring. And even though the story is far from bad, it isn't enough to draw me in the game. Not when the majority of my time is spent waiting.
I've played many narrative games, but either they contained a bit of gameplay to keep me involved, or the story actually progressed at a tolerable speed. I didn't feel like it was the case here.

In the end, I'd like to add that this review is very subjective. What I'm saying here is what I felt. I can completely understand that many players will be able to move past the slowness, or will even be able to enjoy it as part of the experience. This just wasn't a game for me, and so I can't recommend it to the past me who hadn't bought it yet.

Not as good as the first Subnautica, but still pretty good. I missed my dose of subaquatic exploration and this was a nice fix.

Assassin's Creed tries to change its formula!
And mostly succeeds.

From an open-world sandbox, Assassin's Creed Origins turns the series into a more conventional action RPG. Basically, AC Origins is a Witcher 3 clone, slighty less entertaining, but set in ancient Egypt which is absolutely gorgeous and one of the most exotic settings in a modern game.

My main gripe with the game is the leveling aspect.
If you like to focus on the main quest, the difficulty will rise too steeply and you'll be forced to do secondary quests and activities just to keep an adequate level. This is called grinding, and this is never a good point.
If like me you enjoy doing every side quest and activity, it won't take long (like not even 10% of the game) for you to become vastly over-leveled, making the remaining of the game a boring cake-walk.

This review may seem negative, but I still greatly enjoyed the game, mainly for its setting and atmosphere. It's an Assassin's Creed, you know what you're getting into.
Still, the last fifth of the game felt like a drag.

On the micro-transactions, I see many people complaining about them, but I didn't even pay any attention to them. Their constant reminding that someone at Ubi's thought that I would be dumb enough to pay even more than what I already paid for such useless gimmicks is vaguely insulting indeed, but so are the ads everywhere on the Internet. I just stopped paying attention long ago.

On the DLCs, both are very well done, but none add anything relevant gameplay-wise. They're just more of the same.
