It's a rather old RPG nowadays, but with a twist. My first playthrough was totally blind, haven't watched or read a single review, Let's play... after beating the game (literally beating everyone) I figured out that I took the standard RPG approach of destroying everything - the so called Chaotic route. What is more, I discovered a "Pacifist route" also exists, you guessed it, that means not killing a single soul - I'd say this is way harder than one might think. Still have to complete it, but that's for another time in the future I guess.
I'm used to playing faster paced games, with some way of knowing (a map would be great) where I'm currently located, or what I still have to complete. This game, however, provides nothing of such thing. You only have one running speed, no way of knowing where different routes take other than memorizing it, and this is probably the only bad thing I can say about the game, from my perspective.
Soundtrack: 10/10, even though I am not fond of this type of music. The way it complements the story in the background... wow

Before anything else, I'd like to mention that roughly 50 hrs into the game I still haven't managed to reach the end of the story - not that I am that bad at it, currently at 30+ clears, but the game itself is really story rich, and mythologically accurate. If you're a fan of eighter challenging dungeon crawlers, mythology fanatic, or just a casual gamer (even an easy mode exists) who would like to enjoy the amazing soundtracks... this game's got it all.
TL;DR: BUY THE GAME, DO NOT HESITATE, YOU WON'T REGRET IT

Now as for the gameplay: quite fast paced, though you can change it up depending on your personal preference or the weapon you're wielding and the hidden aspects you've chosen. Not a single attempt is the same, so much RNG is involved that it's highly unlikely that you will finish a playthrough with nearly the same items at the end. Around 6 weapons (each having 4 different hidden aspects), roughly 15 boons for each respectful god (around 10 of them),.. some combinations are more favorable than others, but earning all of them will reward you with hefty prizes (I still haven't managed to complete all the DUO entries, when you have synergy between boons of different gods)...

The story really is amazingly rich, not something you'd expect from such a game. Just magnificent. Oh, let's not forget the soundtracks... Some are really able to bring tears to your eyes, others hype you up, some are a great accompaniment to the unfolding story with multiple twists... What can I say, it really is a huge and polished gem. I could go on and on, but the review is already rather long, so I'll stop here.

As others have already stated, the game itself doesn't provide any real challenge. Money is never the problem, since you start with loads of it, and the income is just way too high even if you hire the best possible workers for each type of job. Making big rooms and spamming the rooms with items just so you can raise the prestige... AI bumps into eachother, they block the doors, employees work 24/7..
At first I had this game wishlisted, but after trying it out for free, I'm glad I didn't buy it.

Stay away, neighter the price nor the gameplay are worth it. Interesting concept, but fails miserably on all fronts - too oldschool for todays' standards.

Really great game, can recommend it wholeheartedly. Although it is extremely unrealistic at certain times I thorougly enjoyed playing the Campaign. The graphics and voice acting are on point. However, if you're trying to get all the multiplayer achievements it will take you a long time (or not, if you have a helping hand ;)), since it's quite dead and definitely not fun at the beginning when you're playing as a lvl 1 against a maxed out opponent with 1000+ hours, but I don't think anyone would buy and play this game just for the purpose of multiplayer pvp.

It's a little bit weak on the graphics side, and the loading times are a bit long for me (dunno why), other than that it's a great game with a decent story and the atmospere is spooky. You should definitely try it, but do get it while it's on sale.

Interesting concept. Funky graphics and sound effects. Easy to play, but hard to master; even more so if you're playing on a keyboard. Custom keybindings are sadly non-existant. Reminded me of my days when I was playing Crash Bandicoot, there exists a similar mode to this game.

Fun game to kill time, easy to play and get addicted to. Pixelated graphics, smooth gameplay, many different combinations of weapons allows you to regulate the difficulty of playing the game, some are stronger and synergize better with certain weapons. Although coop is recommended, buying the game at full price is not so.

Rinse and repeat concept. You will die a lot, so it's kind off a poor mans dark souls. If you have nothing else better to play, or if you're doing this as a "play a bad game" challenge, I wouldn't recommend it. After killing all the enemies on one floor, and looting 1 chest for an item, you can proceed to the next floor; enemies get stronger with each floor, and you just pointlessly gather experience points, no skill progression whatsoever.

Meh music, graphics, gameplay... Can't even edit the controls. But it has cards, so if you buy it on a sale and sell the trading cards you get from idling, you can profit 2 cents (Y)
