TL;DR INDUSTRIA fails to justify its price point due to its narrative being sequelbait and its gunplay being mediocre at best.

The weapons in the game consist of a pickaxe, a pistol, a submachine gun, a sniper rifle, and a shotgun. All of these weapons are rather cookie-cutter, in my opinion. There are no alternative fire modes, as the game gives every gun an ADS mechanic. The submachine gun feels particularly unsatisfying due to it being a little too weak, in my opinion. As a result, the gunplay ends up feeling reminiscent of a less-developed Half Life, giving little variety. Had there been some less traditional weapons or alternative fires for the weapons in the game, it may have been more engaging.

The resource management in the game is lacking, even after the most recent update. On the normal difficulty, I never ran into trouble with managing my inventory, and had enough ammunition to shoot my way through every encounter in the game. Health was never an issue, and I did not care about gathering enough batteries because the flashlight worked without them anyways.

The story and setting, at first, intrigued me, but eventually was revealed to be sequelbait. Ultimately, this made me feel more apathetic to the game's world and narrative, undermining the work to build the mysteries earlier on in the game.

Finally, the game claimed to be 4 hours long, but I only got 2.5 hours (see edit) of runtime before I hit the credits. I would have been more vigilant about collecting notes and looking for secrets if, part way through the game, the notes had not bugged and become uncollectable. While I believe that shorter games are valuable, ultimately this game, in my opinion, cannot justify price when, for me, it ran for as long as a longer movie while being more expensive than a movie ticket and has no replayability. There are other FPS indie games at this price point which more than justify their cost.

- EDIT: 2.5 hours when I stopped playing. I closed the game to discuss it with my stream afterwards and the Unreal Engine Crash Reporter opened after it closed, and was counted as game time.

BIg learning curve, but is fun once you've got the hang of it. Can also be fun messing around with the dev console in singleplayer.

Feels like a weaker version of Conan Exiles in the PvE department, and I don't like the PvP department because it feels like an underdone game in terms of attacks and movement. While I'm certain its fine by most accounts for survival games, it's not what I like.
