Really fun game! I blasted through it in about 3.5 hours, and it was a total blast. For the price, the fun-to-cost ratio is more than worth it. Unlocked a permadeath mode now, and I might give it a shot.
If you’re into bullet hell games like Touhou, this is a must-try. A bit of grind, a lot of fun, and boom - a solid evening of gaming. Highly recommend!

First Impressions vs Final Thoughts

At first, I was horrified — I thought the game had no shields, and I’d have to parry my way through (something I’m terrible at). I’ve always played souls-games with a shield in one hand and a long weapon in the other.

I suffered, missed my parries, cursed, and almost dropped the game entirely.

But then I discovered the healing mechanic after blocking, and the game took on a whole new light.
The style of the game grabbed me from the start, but once the gameplay clicked, it was a whole new experience.

I finished it with great enjoyment.
Some bosses are absolutely incredible (the Brotherhood of the Rabbit’s introduction alone is a masterpiece).

Highly recommend for every souls-player!

The game of my childhood. Just finished replaying Gothic 2 again :3

This time, I went with the mage path. It was hilarious strolling around and putting those pompous paladins in their place. No matter how self-important they acted, they knew better than to mess with a Fire Mage.

That said, the final chapter in the Hall of Irdorath was a bit of a grind—it felt like the developers were running out of steam by that point.

Still, the game delivered its signature fun and immersive atmosphere as always 🥳 (though I did have Cheat Engine running alongside—just for item quantities, so I could skip the grind and tedious scavenger hunts).

Pros:
  • Dynamic Campaign: The story mode is short but action-packed and doesn’t overstay its welcome, keeping the gameplay fresh and engaging.
  • Stellar Graphics and Sound: The visuals are stunning, the sound design is immersive, and the optimization is excellent – the game runs smoothly and looks fantastic.
  • No Tedious Grinding: Unlike games like Helldivers 2 (looking at you, orange samples), there’s no suffocating grind to unlock weapons or upgrades. Everything feels accessible without unnecessary farming.
  • Fun Multiplayer Mode: The co-op mode is a blast, especially when playing with friends.

Cons:
  • Difficulty Access in Multiplayer: The lack of a requirement to complete lower difficulties before unlocking higher ones means you’ll often encounter low-level players (levels 1–5) in top-tier difficulty matches. These players lack proper gear and knowledge of mechanics, dragging down the team’s DPS, which is essential, often leading to wipes.
  • Limited Customization Progression: While not a major issue, some players might expect more options for customizing their gear and armor, which could have added extra depth to the gameplay.

Additional Notes:
  • The game truly captures the feeling of being a Space Marine. Every battle is a brutal, visceral experience that makes you feel like a real Astartes.
  • The campaign could benefit from additional branching paths or player choices to enhance replayability.
  • Multiplayer would greatly benefit from improved matchmaking or filters for experienced players to avoid unbalanced teams.

Final Verdict:
Space Marine 2 delivers a fantastic Warhammer action experience without bogging players down with unnecessary grind. It’s a must-play for fans of the franchise and action shooters alike! 🎮

Early Access Review
No. Better to play normal Battlefield 3 or 4.

1. The graphics are still pleasing, even on a 2K monitor. The game's visuals hold up well and provide an enjoyable experience.
2. The developers continue to actively update and improve the game. This ongoing support adds to the game's appeal and ensures it stays fresh.
3. It's a pleasant and tranquil gaming experience. Perfect for firing up YouTube, leisurely driving to your destination, and watching videos alongside.

Overall, it sounds like a great choice for a relaxing gaming session. Happy trucking!

As a simulator, I definitely recommend this game. But as a game itself, not so much. It's a pity to spend so much time learning about one single plane. The manual for a specific aircraft can be 400-600 pages long. Essentially, it's a full-blown book.

In conclusion, if you have a lot of free time and adore flight simulators, I think DCS will be right up your alley, and you'll be thrilled. However, if you just want to relax after work for an hour or two each day, then I don't think so.

Once again, the detail in the flight models and cockpit is outstanding, but objectively, it's a time sink. I won't even discuss the price of the modules; considering the amount of work put in and the fact that you can clock hundreds of hours on them, I believe the price is quite fair.

This (a post from reddit with which I completely agree):

- Intentionally releasing new vehicles in an overpowered state in order to make people grind as quickly as they can to abuse them before the nerfs.

- Intentionally releasing overpowered premium vehicles and not nerfing them, in order to make people purchase them.

- The price of said premiums being equal to triple-A games. I don't know how it's excusable for some premiums to be $70 when they already sell premium accounts for $10 a month.

- Intentionally making SL modifiers low and repair costs high, so that the average player cannot break even in SL after a game. This encourages them to purchase a premium account or a premium vehicle. This also encourages players to leave after one death to minimize losses.

- Implementing research efficiency and tiers to make players buy more than one premium per nation in order to grind. Keep in mind each premium can cost up to $70.

- Forcing players to buy a vehicle previous to the one they want to buy, regardless if they ever want to use it. A lot of vehicles should be in a folder but are not, because Gaijin wants you to spend more SL.

- Forcing players to buy X vehicles from the previous tier before they can buy vehicles in the next tier. This increases the grind and forces you to buy vehicles that you might never have any intention of playing.

- Still making the SL and RP grind painfully slow even if you are using Premium vehicles and a Premium account, especially at the top tiers. Mind you you are paying $10/month + the price of 2-3 premiums per nation you want to grind and it's still very slow.

- Intentionally making stock vehicle performance extremely insufferable by locking away essential needs such as Spare Parts, FPE, NVD, usable ammo, and countermeasures. This is to make players purchase these modifications with GE.

- Introducing crew qualifications, which are arguably a pay-to-win feature. Aced crews provide significant advantages over basic. The SL cost for expert crews and the grind for Ace crews are not viable for the average player, people just purchase Ace crews.

- Putting players in debt over their own mistake after the January 2022 incident. They could have just let those players keep their 7 days of premium as a New Year's gift and take the good publicity but they doubled down. This was so bad that some players were going to take legal action because they felt as if they got scammed, and Gaijin was forced to remove the debt because of the insane backlash.

- Selling pay-to-win bush cosmetics, which otherwise are extremely hard to grind for, are unavailable for half the year, and you only get one random bush.

- Implementing an RP soft cap, which punishes skillful players because otherwise they would grind too quickly and won't be compelled to spend money.

- Introducing strike drones, to make the game more frustrating and to make people lose SL. If you get 2 kills and then die with your drone it will be less SL earned than the repair costs of what you killed due to the modifiers, a net negative overall.

- Intentionally making one nation overpowered, then making a different nation overpowered in order to make players purchase premiums to grind the new overpowered nation.

- Intentionally keeping the BR's compressed in order to make the game more random and frustrating, to limit skillful players, and make players more likely to spend GE on mods, crews or premiums.

- Intentionally making minor nations have underpowered vehicles with very high repair costs and low modifiers, because they are played by mostly experienced players who would otherwise grind too quickly.

- Making Boosters expire for no reason other than to take advantage of FOMO

- Slashing the economy time after time but disguising it as a net positive. For example, making the players "choose", but nerfing the economy either way and putting the blame on the players.

- Introducing extremely grindy events with vehicles that never return, or are sometimes OP, capitalizing on FOMO.

- Introducing lootbox-style crates bought for GE, or ridiculous amounts of SL, with very low chances of getting the reward you want. This is effectively gambling at worst and very predatory at best.

They do not need to be this aggressive when it comes to monetization. This game already makes so much, I just hope they start caring more about their player base and less about their profits.

(From myself):
Yes, I have a lot of hours played. I don't consider the game completely bad. It used to be (and sometimes still is) fun. But now all I see is continuous deterioration. Increased grind, "national teaming" in combat - when you play on IS-2 you can meet IS-2 and allied tanks (I think it's something like merging servers in WoW when online drops). It's sad to see the game turn from a game into a raging casino and a trap for gamblers.

A classic tag game with naked anime girls as a reward. The arts are well. The game takes 7 minutes to complete.

Buy only at a huge discount for the sake of farming cards.
