Like, what the hell? The game is LINEAR, and unlike every other soulslike, you don't have an option to just go explore elsewhere - THERE IS NOTHING TO EXPLORE. There aren't any options available to the player - and the boss has quite a few things never seen before, at once. For example, the game tells you to run away from a red glowing attack. So far, I really don't get how the combat works. Yes, you block attacks, sometimes you block them well, and you have to hit the enemy afterwards to recover health. But it feels like I'm fighting with a toothpick against a metal wall. Yes, eventually the enemy dies - but it takes forever (right now, I fought a miniboss police officer in Elysion Boulevard, and it just kept going). For example, I managed to stagger it (presumably. I really can't tell the difference between "too late", "too early" and "just right". (no, I don't mean "i-frame dodging instead of parrying") I would like to be able to enjoy it. Instead of just watching this clunky mess happen on screen without comprehension....
