Yeah it is only for that app. Since you don't have it I recommend trying out Steam's built in controller support option instead. You can just make your own profile: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIE_oDPs264

My controller profile was made for a program called Controller Companion which is in the Steam Store.
