INITIAL review:

Maybe I just have low expectations, having been left a bad taste in my mouth after growing up on Destiny 1 and loving every second of it only to enter the s***show that is Destiny 2, but this game has been a blast so far. I haven't even gotten to the multiplayer portion and it's already in my top 10. I never got around to playing 1,2, or the pre sequel in their hay day, so I cant say how good it is in comparison to those titles, but if you like characters that are stupid but lovable, explosions, loot, grinding for said loot (except its not that much of a grind), and relishing in the downfall of those who stand in your way, this is the game for you.

Best idler there is

Coming from DS3, this game was a bit different than expected, but the surprise was a welcome one. If your looking for the raw difficulty of a souls game, keep looking; There are more work arounds and exploits than I care to count and 90% of the game is optional. With that being said, if you seek them out, there are some bosses that were genuinely rough (Malenia). All in all, Elden Ring played as a softer but far more entertaining souls experience, with a terrific story and some truly awesome boss fights to boot, this is one of my favorite games of all time.

Do not play this game alone. There is a reasonably friend discord if you need it, and pretty much everyone there would love to help you, and your gonna need their help, because the game has no tutorial. It is actually a very fun game, but without some guidance, your gonna want to pull your hair out. That said, I have over 500 hours on here (not a lot but enough) and HIGHLY recommend it.

For the 5th time i have crashed during rank and gotten an abandon penalty for it. After contacting staff, they "cant do anything". Thusly, after ~2300 hours, my review consists of a singular piece of information: don't get this game. ♥♥♥♥ ubisoft.

I don't have a lot of hours on steam for this game as of now, but I've played more than my fair share on the PS4. I'm about to get an oculus rift S so I can't compare this very well to vr chat, but I will say that most of the people I've met on here were very fun people. Its vastly more fun in vr but thats all you.


P.S. for a free game there is VERY little need to spend money.
