Throughout the last few years, Rec Room has been a game of rapidly decreasing quality. One after the other, beloved programs have been axed from the game, or left in a state of neglect. The player numbers are steadily decreasing, new players don’t stay long term, and due to financial struggles the game is laying off large numbers of staff members. Despite all this, internal memos shared with the community, and recent additions to the game show that the people who manage the company and the game, are completely out of touch with what makes a game successful, the most recent example of this being the companies decision to add an expensive AI feature in order to appeal to investors, rather than add the things the community has asked for over the last few years. The company seems to be trying to redecorate a room to deal with a house fire, being far too focused on adding cosmetic features to the game without addressing the fact that the actual gameplay loop is no longer fun. More customization options can’t make up for a boring game. All that being said, here is a list of features that the community wants, and are banding together in this review campaign to tell you that we want:
-Rework Marketing Campaigns to focus on appealing to older audiences
-1 makerpen contest OR 1 “Invasion” style event *DONE RIGHT* annually
-1 Alternative Art Contest (Art, Photography, Video Making, Inventions)
-Remove the “invite all” function
-Disallow Junior Accounts the ability to interact with UGC Cosmetics
-Junior Rooms must be Approved by RecRoom
-Reconnect the RecRoom Campus again! Have all official RecRoom Original Rooms directly linked to each other.
-Make the Rec Center a Center for Recreational Activities Again! Move the shops and advertisements elsewhere!
-Design new RRO’s to be consistent with the art styles and premises of the older ones (I.E.Set up by the college, using analogs for dangerous or fantastical scenarios and elements)
-A new laser tag map
-A new Rec Room Quest
-Add a Room blocking feature.
We’re tired of waiting. We want to see this game live, and become enjoyable again.

Rec Room has gone into a ♥♥♥♥ hole ever since 2023, they've gotten rid of almost everything That made the game good and now it's just a ♥♥♥♥♥ ugc cash grab, they do NOT care about any of they're players, the only time rec room actually does something good, isn't even that good. It's just there to make them look nice so players will keep playing They're game and investors will keep giving them money.

Quick question rec room. What ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ had the idea to completely ruin the game so they can make money off of it? I don't believe Nick (the owner of the game) is even running that game anymore, you probably Got takin over by a bunch of businessmen who decided to make the game greedy.

Also they are only focusing on room creation just so they don't have to do anything, and the players will just run the game by their self and they'll make even more money off of them

If your a new player that is interested in playing this game. Don't, all they want from you is the money in your bank account nothing else

I have played this game since 2020 — wonderful experience I will say. I have met many good friends to this day and lost some over this game, but I put this review to say that this game has fallen bad.

The player count is decreasing, the toxicity is increasing, and the e-dating problem is terrible. So bad of a problem that it puts children in danger of pedophiles.

I ran a community called FBIRP. It's been around since 2019 — I took ownership in 2022, and since then I went to deal with the pedo problem myself because the head of Rec Room safety, ATLAS, doesn't do anything about it, even when reported to him.

We dealt with it by having people report it to us on a platform called Discord, which we promoted through the game. They made tickets to us and we further took legal action and reported it. Atlas blacklisted that Discord from Rec Room, but we kept going.

Recently, I ended FBI to start a new thing called ARPA. But the game is so bad now — it’s in poor ownership, with the owners all money-corrupt. They ignore the player base.

It’s not that the game is old or anything — it’s dying because of the owners.
