Play this game. This is the only experience yet that feels like Myst felt when it was new. The introduction is self-paced and supportive, without making you feel like the game expects things of you, or that you're on a schedule, and once you solve that first big challenge, more opens up around you. But it's smoother than that. Little clues that might be throwaway bits connect days or weeks later, and suddenly you're searching your home for a notebook and a pencil. And it's WORTH IT. I'm currently at about 50 hours of gametime, which is a surprisingly small number to see because it feels like we've done SO much, anyway, around 50 hours (for me) it's opening up again, more elements are coming together, and there's another layer starting to become visible. There are still plenty of things that are obviously more clues to fit together later; I have no idea where they're going, but I'm so excited for when the day comes when they start making sense. It's like that. The payoff of getting something together is immense. The daily mechanic transforms with you, not mechanically, but how you use it. It's like the game evolves with your understanding of it, and the tools that once served one very clear goal become tools to other ends, that you decide. It's fantastic. Highly recommend.

PS: It supports controllers but I personally find it easier to play with a mouse. I get the wireless mouse and keyboard out and play it on the living room tv with my partner. it's an excellent time.

Beautiful, interesting, peaceful. A zen sandbox with a dark mystery. Smooth progression, mechanics that are "minutes to learn, lifetime to master" set in a gorgeously soothing environment. Sometimes developers get things Just Right.

Finished my first run and immediately felt the desire to go again. My spouse did four in a row. This is a game for the ages.

6 hours and I have no hook keeping me playing. It feels like I'm supposed already know how to play, including during the tutorial. I haven't played the first Divinity, but am a huge D&D player. Despite bunches of D&D friends telling me I will lose my life into it, the clunky controls and visuals were frustrating to understand and the first mission was too difficult with very little scaffolding. Other games have these problems, too, but this one had nothing interesting happening, so my experience was focused entirely on the frustrations. Split-screen co-op is good.

There's a reason this was a (cult) classic. Still holds up! and is gorgeous with remaster.

Gorgeous and totally engrossing battle. Calm and cerebral, while still feeling the danger and imperative nature of war. Great experience overall.

A fun adventure. Excellent environmental experience. This was really fun to play with my partner, talking through the story, puzzles, and our hypotheses as we went!

This game is wonderful. It has flowing, zen-like mental challenge to it. It's calm and doesn't rush you. But it is heavy on the challenge. To get good, you need to free your mind, and you video card, because it inexplicably uses a lot of GPU power.
