Run around and fight aliens

If you're a fan of stuff similar to the real Star Wars Battlefront games and all those old AI mods for Halo CE, then this game is right up your alley! This game is a very customizable war romp taking you to the world of Ravenfield, a magical land full of red and blue soldiers who really enjoy blowing the crap out of each other.

Now, the gunplay isn't bad, but it takes a little getting used to. the bullets are semi-realistic, so they aren't gonna instantaneously reach the opposite side of whatever level you're on. When fighting at long range, you'll have to take into account the trajectory of your bullets and their drop-off, and adjust your aim accordingly. The AIs are no idiots, they're fully aware of this as well.

The vehicle combat is very satisfying and the variety is perfect, especially with the recent addition of the APC! The vehicles all handle exactly how you'd expect them to, so it really never feels off whenever you're in one. I don't have a whole lot else to say on the matter to be honest. My only complaint is that the machine gun on the jeep is almost impossible to aim with.. Either that or I just don't use it enough :V

The artificial intelligence isn't anything groundbreaking, but I personally find them smarter than in most AAA games nowadays, and the bottom line is that they do what they're supposed to do, which is capture points, drive vehicles, and generally wreak havoc using any means necessary. the sandbox elements to this game add almost endless replay value, which the AI compliments perfectly. I distinctly remember crossing a bridge on one of the levels, following a large group of my comrades, when one of them pulled out a rocket launcher and fired it off to the side, and then all of a sudden a plane wreckage came crashing down right onto the bridge and almost flattened me. The best part about that? It was completely unscripted!

tl;dr This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome, buy it.

A really fun way to see how long it takes to crash your display driver!

With the previous issues being addressed after my original review was posted, I can't recommend this enough! If you're looking for something comparable to Opposing Force for HL2 then this is right up your alley

Don't get me wrong, this mod started out good, like, REALLY GOOD. The urban environments are very atmospheric and the gameplay changes are pretty well thought-out! It was great seeing how the rebels who stayed behind in City 10 started taking over and adapting some combine technology for their own use, and on top of that the soundtrack is excellent!

Then suddenly you find yourself running around dealing with infinitely-respawning fast headcrabs and fast zombies in an underground section that is pitch-black and health resources are limited. I spent over 20 minutes looking for a valve to open a door with and I couldn't find it, eventually I got tired of trying to find a way out of the area and quit the game. The under chapter has what might be the worst level design I've ever seen in a HL2 mod in a really long time. For now, I can't recommend this, not in its current state. This mod does have a lot of potential though, so I will be sure to revisit it and update my review once it gets updated

I wasted 7 dollars on this abomination and I'm pretty sure that the only reason why this is on Steam is for people who are curious as to how poorly made this game is

This game turns me into a raging chimp

This game is fantastic. There are multiple ways to play through every mission and the game will challenge your ability to adapt to situations where any plans you have formulated go wrong, and there are times where your plan will fall apart due to somebody being in the wrong place at the wrong time and will potentially leave a high body count. However, when your plans are executed perfectly it is incredibly satisfying
