Had this on xbox 360, and it was great. I really enjoyed it and thought "oh i hope they do more of these"

3 years later it pops up on steam sale for £2.79, WHAT!!!!! BUY BUY BUY!!!

Graphics blow the 360 version out of the water and its still one of the most fun singleplayer games available, I'm not usually the type to play through action games more than once but this is a thrill even after a few years.

There is no reason anyone who likes fun not to buy this; or likes video games or even if you only like headshots with a bow and arrow.

If you dislike any the following do not buy.

Fun, Crafting, Dinosaurs, Flying on Dinosours, Riding on Dinosaurs, Swimming with Dinosaurs, Building, Absolute Chaos, Monkeys, Excitment, Running for your life from Dinosaurs, Crying over deceased Dinosaurs (I kinda dislike this), Jumping out of your skin, Actually laughing out load, having an actual fun survival game experience.

If you like even some of the above then this is a game you should be playing already.

I had this on 360 and when I saw it on sale on Steam i jumped at the chance to play it again; This game isn't revolutionary, its not genre defining, its just very good fun.

The single player is pretty simplistic but throws enough enemies, scenarios and challenges at you to keep you engaged and entertained, storyline wise its basic as they come, move here, kill this, blow up this, rip this getlemans jaw off, etc; but the games called 'Space Marine' so if you were expecting anything more then more fool you. All in all well worth the 7-8 hours it'll take to coast through.

The multiplayer is much like the single player; pretty basic but done well and the love for the subject material really starts to shine through when you see the level of customizastion available for your character, right down to the actual paint varieties from citadel. The combat essentially plays like Gears of War without and cover system, if you start taking hits you roll or sprint away (If thats the type of Space Marine you are), wait for your shields and eventually vitality to regen then back into the action. On the whole its simple fun and unlike most competative shooters rarely causes rages because if you get owned by someone you can copy their loadout for 1 spawn and return the favour.

In summary I've bought this game twice and loved it both times so if you are thinking of buying it, just do because its great.

2nd Edit: Anyone even thinking about putting any money anywhere near this, just buy arma 3 and install the breaking point FREE mod. It's FREE, plays better, runs better and is fun.

Edit: having waited and waited this game is still in early access, DO NOT PUT MONEY INTO THIS GAME!!

This game has been early access and boring for too long; get the Arma 2 mod if you want to have some casual open world zombie fun and avoid this, I spent more time on the mod than I ever did on this.

Devs are clearly getting bogged down on silly little details without thinking how the game will run or play.

It looks bad, plays bad, and its not even fun...or realistic.

Be warned, this is a very short prequel game; however it is a very good, very beautiful Metal Gear Solid Prequel game on PC! It's only £11.38 right now (18/12/2014) so don't get that takeaway pizza, don't buy that romantic comedy dvd, just buy this slice of gaming art and get ready for the Phantom Pain.
