It's decent but devs need to properly advertise that this is phase 1 of release and "simulator mode" is on it's way. Sure "devs already announced it" fine but not loud enough, there needs to be a primary focus on the fact that this is a "story mode" release and that a more simulator/freeplay oriented mode IS on the way, there would be far fewer negative reviews right now if they were louder about this from the get go. I'm talking bold font first paragraph of store page clarity not just an announcement, 50% of your target demo is browsing their recommendation queue not checking your announcements. The simulator angle should have been the bread and butter of the entire release-day marketing campaign with or without a story mode release.

Only half way or so through the story but I've caught only one actual bug (centrifuge tubes clip occasionally) and while the setting is a definitely edgy I'm satisfied with it for what it is, assuming there's a decent "simulator" mode on the way and I'm not gonna be charged again for it. Could've done better with removal of organs though, the human body isn't made of legos.


Tldr; Biggest flaw isn't gameplay or story it's a failure to properly optimize/prioritize marketing. The game is promising and has a great framework to build on from here, just know that you're buying a linear story-driven game until "simulator mode" is available.


Protip to devs: don't pull a Payday 3 with DLC or it'll be your game on the dissection table
