The theme of Yakuza 5 is beautiful. This game did not make me cry, but it was beautiful. This was a fine Yakuza game in terms of all the others, I can see how this is peoples' favorite but it wasn't hitting as much for me. Would still recommend, though.

Yakuza 4 has got to be my third favorite game in the whole series by far, as I love Kiwami 2 and Yakuza 0 second. This games narrative takes it to an absolute whole nother level with the introduction to 3 new protags, amazing new faces, and diverse fighting styles between all 4 characters you switch between. This game is remarkable with the step up it takes from Yakuza 3 narratively and pacing-wise. I love almost everything about this entry and I think this is a strong ass entry in the series as a whole. Would 100% recommend.

Weakest Yakuza by far, but doesn't mean it's bad! Yakuza 3 when it came out the time it did must've been revolutionary for the series onward, compared to OG 1 and 2, this game must've brought a new fresh air to the series with not only system mechanics, but things you can do. Yakuza 3 has it's moments and it's still very solid. Guaranteed, it's nowhere near the spectacle of Yakuza 1 and 2 (and we can't even compare 0), It's still, in it's own way, charming. I loved looking after the kids in Morning Glory, I loved exploring Okinawa, and I loved the new characters. This game isn't grand, but it's still a good entry in the series.
