*UPDATE 28th SEPTEMBER 2023 - LAUNCH OF COUNTER-STRIKE 2*

In Counter-Strike 2 we still have:

Broken matchmaking - no strict solo queue, you get full teams with 5 players as enemies while you get random teammates who don't know a word of English or they are completely silent through entire match.

Broken hitboxes and collision detection - delivering shots where you aim seems to be based on some kind of lottery system (maybe you hit somebody, maybe you don't - regardless if you aimed correctly at the enemy). Bullets and grenades still have problems with not landing where they should.

64 tickrate servers for Premier / Competitive - yeap, they are still here. Difference between 64 and 128 tickrate is obvious and evident to everyone who plays actively CS, except for those who don't want to believe it or deny it on purpose. Valve is lying with supposedly "subtick system", which is plainly just marketing gimmick, so they have scapegoat reason for not implementing 128 tickrate, at least for Premier / Competitive matches. Trust is more simpler: Valve doesn't care about players and doesn't want to spend extra money on servers with 128 tickrate.

Free to play option - yeap, still here. Infinite number of cheaters and smurfers - welcome !!

Here is what we have NEW in Counter-Strike 2:

Worse audio - yeap, you read that right. Audio is worse than in CS:GO. Everything now sounds like from the bottom of the barrel. Weapon sounds = muffled. Footsteps = muffled. Half of the time you will not hear them at all. With or without Virtual 7.1, with or without Hi-Fi headphones. Nothing helps, it is completely awful and terrible.

Removed Unranked matchmaking.
Removed Short competitive matches.
Removed Danger Zone.
Removed War games (Arms Race, Demolition, Flying Scoutsman, Retakes).

You want more detailed metadata ? Damn, that sucks.
net_graph is removed.

You use left hand ? Then it sucks to be you, enjoy discrimination by Valve.
cl_righthand is removed.

You want to customize crazy movement of your weapon during shooting animations ?
Not possible. cl_bobamt console commands are removed.

You want not to be distracted by blood and bullet holes ? Then it sucks to be you.
r_cleardecals console command is removed.

All in all, epic fail of a launch. We expected more from Valve and Source 2 for Counter-Strike.
We didn't got even half baked product. We got one-third baked product.
