ABOUT CS2 GAME BAN Bugs With High DPI Rotation

Only players who have received a game ban are allowed to enter.

When Valve investigates and fixes it, this group will dissolve.

If your Steam profile is set to private, or if your account age is too low and your gameplay hours are too short, you will not be allowed to join.

This group was created on 11/2, and we didn't know each other before the GAME BAN. After the GAME BAN, we realized the need to unite, so I added some people who had similar experiences as friends and even invited them into the group.

Reminder: VacNet still banning people for high-DPI activity
Boiled down:
People who dick around with high-DPI are getting instantly game banned. This post is solely to keep awareness and visibility going so Valve can eventually address the issue.

I'm advocating for my own situation but primarily the hundreds of other players in the same boat. Aside from DPI bans, there are bans for people getting flagged for lagging during gameplay, and using console commands. All of which are unwarranted and should be verbally addressed at the VERY least, no matter how you look at it.

If you do a quick Youtube, Google, Reddit, or CS2 Steam discussion forum search you'll see all the proof and individual accounts which'll remove any doubt that this is a genuine problem heavily affecting rule-abiding players.

Please don't share your dog-water takes on how these bans are justified. This is pretty black and white, and has never been a problem before VacNet was implemented.

All I'm asking for is that we all advocate for:

1. Remediation of the bans via reversal in the same manner done for Windows 7, AMD Anti-lag, and other misc bans.

2. Awareness of the bans and how imperative it is that these players get their situations addressed. We need to keep talking about this, as Valve has made mistakes with content, netcode, and gameplay, but you can't pretend that false bans is a minor issue no matter how low the amount of people being affected is.

3. Accountability for Valve to fix it's anticheat and admit there is an issue with VacNet. As well as a transparent effort to combat false bans and real cheaters.

Thats it. Thanks.
If you're affected by this, know you aren't alone and don't get gaslit into thinking you deserved this. Put yourself in our shoes, and consider how little means are available to get Valve's attention and reach a solution in a timely manner. There are players who were incorrectly banned in the CLOSED BETA who have yet to be assisted or even acknowledged.

Just wish valve would take 2 minutes to look into our cases :(

False bans can still happen it just result in a 24 hour cooldown just like a cheater. There is still uncertainty if its fixed or not. I believe its still possible honestly

Looks lime the issue was fixed with high dpi. I couldn't find anything regarding players STILL being banned. Feels like we been swept under the rug and marked as collateral damage

yeah its unfortunate for us who were banned when this issue first arose before anyone even knew it was a bannable thing. i was one of the very first banned for high dpi.

i have clips of me using high dpi as well, as well as clips as me spinning around really fast in the old 1v1 warmup maps where i'd do it while shooting at an afk enemy and inevitably kill them. i use to do it all the time so it's no surprised i got banned straight away for it

I had given up on getting unbanned, but a friend happened to take a video of me spinning at high DPI in CSGO.

This video was recorded in August 2023, and at this point in time high DPI was not even a possibility for bans, so I think it is a reliable piece of evidence.

I posted it on X so I'll share it with you all.

If you've been unfairly banned, why not try looking for videos like this as evidence?
