Seems like a lot of reviews are based on the "open-beta" demo that was going about a few days before, and they're mostly wrong.

It's like a step back from DoW2 trash back into DoW1, with basebuilding returning, but also losing some of Company of Heroes-esque mechanics.

Campaign mode is pretty good, even a bit challenging on Normal, graphics are fantastic, every race has their own gimmick and no, you don't play the campaign only as spees marines.

Doesn't mean they won't jew every last dollar out of it by releasing other races as 60$ DLC (plus tip), but the Complete edition of this is going to be pretty good.

Supports 1440, mouse control, Borderless Window and even has a variety of graphics option. Surprising to see this quality port from Platinum, but welcome nonetheless.

It's filled with jank, boring level design and shallow combat, much like the original Nier.

The soundtrack is amazing and is hand-tailored to complement the game.

It has the best plot, setpieces, filled to the brim with cool moments and keeps surprising you all the way to the end, in ways much better than the original Nier did.

BECOME AS GODS.

From the developers that heard about this "Dead Rising" game, comes a chinese knock-off installment of the series that absolutely the worst thing in every aspect, that manages to look worse than the previous game and also tries to ruin perfectly good existing characters and backstories.

Can canadians do anything right?

The game itself seems fine, but it appears there's no mouse support whatsoever so if you want to play this on keyboard you're going to have a bad time.
