Excellent source of classified military information. I highly recommend this game to foreign powers who want to get their hands on vital aircraft diagrams and maps of military bases.

The early game is amazing, so much exploration to do, so many bosses to kill, amazing environments legacy dungeons and soundtracks, fun npc quests, challenging and unique enemies to fight

but lategame elden ring starts to throw copies of bosses you've already fought at you, and bosses become damage sponges that throw in mixup attacks designed just to pressure you away from having opportunities to attack and fights end up becoming less about skill and more about luck - a winning run against Malenia or the final boss isn't one you played well, its one where you just got lucky and they didn't use certain moves multiple times.

All in all, the game is amazingly expansive and so fun to play, but this game literally released with unimplemented content that they are just adding back in updates, which is rather sad.

The gameplay and diversity in playstyles is greater than any from software title before it, but this comes at the cost of a lack of attention to detail in boss fights like sekiro had which was designed for a certain playstyle. While Elden Ring has some of my favourite fights in the series - Radahn, Astel, and the Lord of Blood, most are either copies of earlier bosses or just... RNG based, generic, or just unfun.

I love so so so much about elden ring but at the same time find myself disliking some traits i wish were better, i wish this was a slightly smaller game that had more attention put into the details, without any reused bosses.

I think this game is worth playing but you should get the Iceborne DLC if you value endgame content, because the base game just starves you of it to pressure you into playing iceborne.

That isn't something I hate about the game, I actually love monster hunter, just a word of warning. Capcom have put SO much effort into the ecology, gameplay and animations in this game, it's truly astounding.

So I hated the idea of this game existing when it was announced as Shin Ryu Ga Gotoku (New Yakuza) or Ryu Ga Gotoku 7, a huge part of why I play the Yakuza series is its gameplay and this game decided to throw that aside and change the genre completely and turn it into a turn based RPG.

I only bought this game to test out my new graphics card, and now look at me - ~250 hours invested into the game and all achievements.
The game has its downsides - later enemies are just damage sponges taking ages to kill, the grind is intense for two bosses in particular at the end, and the game relies on your positioning in the 3D battlefield to determine what enemies you can hit and how many they'll affect but you are unable to control where your characters are.

But the good far outweighs the bad. The job system allows really funny and unique gameplay styles, the characters are really really fun and Ichiban is a well made refreshing new protagonist to carry the Yakuza series' torch for the next decade. I could write, and have written essays on how Ichiban is a well made character with a better start to a saga than kiryu got, but I'll save that for you to experience yourself - just consider playing more Yakuza first and seeing just how much you can tell is inspired from the other protagonists.

Y:LAD is a game you can experience without ever having touched a Yakuza game before so turn based RPG fans can get into the series, and I'd love them to, they really should get to experience Yakuza as well. Please consider picking this game up, especially if it's on sale. Thank you.
