>i like get kitted up with my gen 1 m16 and 20rnd mags

>i run over to the airfield where like 11 other dudes are standing and its pitch black, no night visions because its the 1960s

>a huey helicopter with door gunned m60 machine guns come down with their night lights on

>everyone just jumps in and theres chillwave vietnam music playing over the loud speakers as we fly over the nightime jungle

>we get to a point where the pilot cuts the music and lights, tells everyone 90 seconds until we drop in

>the sounds and flashes of gunshots and explosions start to get louder AND louder as we fly into this fob in the middle of a smashed the ♥♥♥♥ up jungle

>door gunners start blasting on both sides, tracers going in and out of this small camp in the middle of the jungle

>all of the trees for like 200m outside of the camp 360 degrees have just been blasted out by bombs and artillery

>every time a flare flashes or an explosion goes off you just see hundreds of vietcong storming the fob like ants

>the pilot does a combat landing, we all exit the bird and disperse into towers, trenches, etc

>pilot takes off, dumping flares so we can see

>i get to a fox hole on the perimeter and just start launching 40mm HE grenades down range

>there were maybe 25 of us on this camp when we dropped in, after 30 minutes or so of brutal wave after wave fighitng i start walking around the camp

>there is 6 of us alive

>a jet flies over and napalms the ♥♥♥♥ out of the horizon

>more hueys fly in dropping off troops

>some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ takes it upon himself to lead a patrol into the jungle

>i go with him along with like 4 other dudes

>we trudge the jungle, fighting nearly hand to hand until we find an enemy observation post and blow it up

>die in a final heroic last stand against hundreds of vietcong

good

Great game, takes skill and luck equally. Not many bugs that I have noticed. Has a great battlefield/call of duty 3 feel to it while still being as original as a ww2 shooter can be. Really fascinating how the strategy side of the game and the FPS side of the game depend on each other.
