Not played long, but enough to get the grip on the game.

Bad impression first:

- UI font size are too small and not sharp enough to be readable, especially on laptop screen size (especially on 1080p)

That's it.

And here's why Ironsight are one of the best free MMOFPS inside Steam yet:

- Gunplay and movement is nice and fluid, but not COD-level free (no sliding but there's sprint and stamina)
- Permanent equipment could be easily bought with in-game currency (timed items are still available for the player to try things out)
- Doesn't feel grindy, all modes are fun
- Item prices are pretty cheap
- Matchmaking is easy and there's server selection before entering the lobby/matchmaking (there's SEA server, thank God)
- Certain parts of the map is interactable, for example you can call or send the lift upwards/backwards
- Weapon customization
- CHARACTER customization (finally not a hero shooter like most other currently popular MMOFPS)
- Gun range to test ALL available base weapons in-game (something I only found in CrossFire back then)
- Map design are crazy good IMO, hard to camp but enough cover for slower moving players or snipers
- Loadout system are really well thought out IMO
- Monetization or micro transactions are not restricting for most players, only if you need more loadout slots than 3, or if you want to put weapon charms in the game (yes weapon charms exists too)
- R O B O T S A N D D R O N E S (still got PTSD from those blade drones trying to hit my bum)
- Nice selection of game modes though I only tried some of them (TDM, SnD, CTF, Rocket Battle)
- Visuals are good for a 10GB game, RTX GPUs are not needed for max settings (even my RX 560 can handle it)
- There's lore to this game, it's not much but it's there lol
- No in game ads that tells me to buy this and buy that, at least it's not noticable. There's only one banner on the main menu.
- Character and weapon analytics and statistics
- Unlock weapon attachments by playing the game

What Ironsight can improve:

- Title system like Project Blackout/Point Blank game, earn your powerups
- As mentioned above, readable font size (or at least make a slider settings for it)

TL, DR: Mimics COD Black Ops 2 multiplayer, but it's free and it's currently available so I'm not complaining.

Overview a.k.a. TL, DR:

Played many medieval/fantasy-themed games in the past, whether it's RPG, strategy, or action-RPG, and I'm just 'dived' into The Witcher franchise recently because my PC finally good enough to play it properly. I have to say, this game in particular are one of the games that actually got me excited for its storyline alone. Never got this (wholeheartedly) hooked before. Great!

The Good

  • Beautiful visuals, still holds up even today
  • Huge enough game world for an RPG
  • Believable story, even for someone who doesn't indulge in medieval fantasy and preffered Sci-Fi for an RPG game
  • The HUD are fairly crowded, but not intrusive enough for me
  • Expansive crafting and character development system
  • The music and sounds in general.
  • Controls are fairly easy to comprehend
  • Supportive elements of the games like minigames or other activities in game doesn't really interfere with the story
  • Expansive graphical settings and post-processing like AA actually not that taxing in this game, unlike others
  • Actually made me save scumming to get an all good ending on my first playthrough, but the save file are fairly small unlike Fallout/Skyrim/Football Manager
  • Could actually bully town guard without fear of getting hanged afterwards
  • Racial prosecution simulator™
  • Gwent
  • Geralt's drawing skills
  • The fair maids of the northern realms ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The Bad and the Ugly

  • I know it's Geralt's story, but If Geralt actually got an amnesia or something like in the first game (?) RPG perfectionists could have more freedom to develop the character and Geralt not knowing a lot of things already at the start could be more believeablelike, a lot more creature should be listed in bestiary already, or a lot more crafting/alchemy diagrams should already exist at the start.
  • Many aspects should be in the vanilla game, like all quest pins should appear in world map (yes this have been mitigated with mods, but some people just wanna play and enjoy the game)
  • NPC faces (at least that we can interact with like merchants) are really similiar and not enough variety
  • In a dream world, there shouldn't be any leveling system on this game, only progressed through the story and gain/earn abilities like Skyrim (do more to get better), can't stand Geralt got bullied by mere Drowners at early game. I don't know, I might be a dimwit at fighting Drowners.
  • Dammit even 100 hours of gameplay not enough to find more dirt on this game lmao, yeah it's that good

10/10 would save scum for this game

The full story lasts about 4 hours without some heavy reading.

Is it good?

HELL YES!

If this game moddable, i.e. users can create their own "cases" or "episodes", this game would be looong-lasting and replayability value would be absolute gold.

TL; DR: One of the BEST F2P MMOFPS out there. Period.

For the details, I'll try to keep it simple:

+ System requirements are decent
+ Gameplay itself was fun but not too grindy or frustrating
+ Weapons and other items are quite affordable
+ Don't really need to pour money to git gud (but if you enjoy this game, please do)
+ UI was snappy and polished, the graphics in general are good too
+ Plenty of graphical, audio, gameplay, and controls options to tinker with
+ Game mode are plenty but not too much for my taste
+ Many guns already equipped with silencers and laser pointer for a low price of FREE
+ In a scoreboard there's no death stat, meaning if you suck, it doesn't feel really bad and you could actually have fun in them quick, non-competitive matches
+ If you decide to spray money in a lootboxes, at least there's a sure chance to win the grand prize after opening 100 of them (they keep track of how much of the particular lootboxes you've opened, kinda nice)
+ Heard Shroud played this game too

- No vote kick feature. Yes I understand why, but sometimes we can be lil bit helpless in a match with them hackers.
- No "test"/"try the weapon" feature before buying like in other FPS games (e.g. CrossFire) so I have to loot my teammate's guns to decide which guns I want to buy later.
- Can't customize my own weapon with attachments and such. Either you buy that GL weapon or don't have them sweet grenade launcher at all.
- It might be an issue on my end, but sometimes when starting a match, I'm experiencing mild to medium stuttering. But sometime later, it'll be gone.

Got it on sale for a price of about a regular-sized Snickers.

Just played for less than 10 minutes, and I had this urge for spreading praises through positive review. I don't know why, might be black magic or something.

And here I am, recommending this game, still wondering if this was one of the ways to get that grizzly achievement.

The game's lighter than my online shopping app, looks great too!

Yes the trailer might show you everything there is to see on this game, but it isn't.

WHY THE HELL THIS GAME LURKED FOR MONTHS ON MY WISHLIST!?

TL; DR: The only racing game when I can laugh hysterically when crashing to other cars and wrecked mine. Pure fun.

RATED:9/10, the damage physics alone are worth 5 points

Pros

  • PURE CHAOS, but it's the fun one.
  • Great, probably close to reality damage physics for your crashing and wrecking pleasure
  • Mod support
  • For completionist, the achievements seems forgiving
  • Enough selection of cars and tracks
  • Cockpit mode although there's no actual hands steering the car (like ETS 2)
  • Nice graphics and graphical options
  • Pretty friendly in terms of system requirements. My old Phenom II X4 + R7 360 2GB + 8GB RAM can run this game on 1080p 60+ FPS on low to medium settings (still looked good though)
  • There's special vehicles and truly special ones like sofa cars, lawnmower, even the freaking school bus!

Cons

  • Pretty long loading times when starting the game (about 3 minutes or more, either on SSD or HDD)
  • I tried this game on SSD and HDD, the loading times are pretty much the same, no noticable gain (both on track and the startiing screen)
  • Can't repaint rims, bumpers, and other visual mods and armors (except car paint and decals)

Now I'm being a cherrypicking a-hole listIt's things that I didn't like but you probably like it, it's a matter of taste though

  • The fonts (the big ones in the loading screens, main menu, and speedometer) are better belonged to a war-themed games, it's bold, but too clean
  • Progression system are just level up, complete a challenge/race day, buy some cars, and move on. A generic one. Hope there's seasonal system, promotion and relegation to other divisions, statistics, like taking a bit of NASCAR games so it feels more rewarding when you close to the top/end game

Summary

This is a military-themed game where you can gain ranks as you complete missions with the squad you built with bunch of recruits. Each recruits has its own unique "personalities" (traits, perks, skills, and so on), and you can make one too.

The story was great, although the combat was a bit awkward. This is not really an RPG, as it's lacked player choices or rarely any story-related decision-making needed. But it's still a good, fun Fallout game.

Pros

  • Character creation similiar to older Fallout
  • Building your ultimate squad by recruiting people, or just go alone
  • Plenty of missions and special places to explore
  • Slick-looking sprites/graphics that could still holds up today, with better shaders and lighting
  • Still looks and feels like older Fallout (bleak, "scary", and such)
  • Good story/plot with many respectable characters
  • Has editor which you can create your own recruits, edit things in the game, or probably even make your own mission
  • Diverse recruits options. You can recruit (m)any living being, not just humans

Cons

  • Shallow dialog options. When in dialog, you're probably 95% spoonfed with info. You can't really "talk" with NPCs, although you could still interact with them for bartering, recruiting, gambling, and such.
  • Feels Stuttery when scrolling through map, probably because it's not compatible with modern hardware. I've played this with an old laptop and it runs better there. No real fix as of now
  • Mod support kinda limited, with the important mod for this game were probably only FoT Redux and FoT Booster
  • Awkward combat system, mainly because the character can miss shots even if the enemy was only 5 meters away and they can't shoot while running

Note

I run this game on Windows 10 64-bit with a lot newer hardware (compared to the game's release date) plus 1080p resolution, and it never crashed on me again after I done some tweaking with the help of Steam Community guides. When i'm not playing it on 1080p monitor back then, it's all fine and dandy without any memorable crashing.

If you're crashing, it's most likely a compatibility issue. Try to run the game with compatibility mode (WinXP SP3) and run it as admin. Or if you running the game with nearly the same spec at me, look for the guide to run the game at 1080p Windows 10 on Steam Community. Or do some research to make it run well.

1. It's cheaper than a regular Snickers right now
2. The game's set in LA, but it has more Japanese "vibe". Should be set in Tokyo to maximize the "vibe"
3. Pretty unique in terms of customization
4. Vehicle variants/trim levels are also a welcome feature, although I seen it as a sneaky way to make the game seems like it has a lot more cars than it should be
5. Has that "special" section, best used for research purposes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I got this for less than $5 on sale, so I might be a bit biased.

Anyway, the pros are:

1. Base building
2. Adequate mod support, not as good as Bethesda's Fallout, but hey
3. Came with all DLC. Kinda irritating for me if I have to buy games with separate DLCs (except if it's stuff pack, weapon pack, or such)
4. Nearly all buildings can be entered
5. Believable story, although it's pretty short
6. Traits and other informations in the notebook are adding the depth of this game
7. Pretty lightweight, both in game size and system requirements. Probably can run 1080p 60FPS ultra on a Ryzen 3, 8GB RAM, and RX 570 4GB
8. The game still "runs" when you're not in the game, so there's always something going on when you're away, like construction's been done when you getting back in the game, etc.

Cons:

1. No manual saving. If your game crashes just after a mission, save game could be broken and you forced to start a new game. Back up your save regularly (USER folder inside the SoD folder)
2. Nearly all weapons from the same category (such as Assault Rifles) don't feel much different. Sorry, gun lovers.
3. Can't move to any building for homesite. My dream to occupy that Marshall supermarket and build huge walls and towers around it instantly crushed. Hard.

If you guys experienced bad FPS, just download the disable SSAO mod, mod ID 342 on Nexus. You still got shadows which is great.
If you guys experienced heavy stuttering when driving, use Tow Truck mod that disables wrecked vehicles, somehow reduces stuttering when driving. Mod ID is 60 on Nexus.

With above "game-fixing" mods and if the price was less than $10, it's worth it.

1. I love third-person shooters.
2. The story aren't as glorious as the CoD series, but it's deeper in my opinion.
3. The game's pretty lightweight both in size and system requirements but the graphics still holds up 'till today.
4. Frequently on sale, better than wasting couple hours of my time in some dumb, overly-hyped movies.
5. Multiple endings, some choices in the game, somewhat refreshing.

That's some of it. Hope that's enough.
