Lots of good, bad, and in-between on this demo.

Very grindy like many other resource collection sandboxes, but with a pretty robust, expandable crafting system like Conan Exiles. Honestly, the 3 hours I spent felt like much more time had passed because of a lot of the traveling to gather materials early on with the limited storage space (thank god for no encumbrance).

One QoL thing that I loved was you can craft from inventory AND storage chests inside your camp.

No real bugs or anything, and deaths were strictly my fault, but the system where you have to retrieve your loot just stopped for me at some point and death didn't feel like a consequence, especially with the fast travel bells. I do agree with one of the other comments that the sailing system doesn't feel like wind sailing such as Sea of Thieves, but rather a set pace like Valheim.

Either way, I would recommend this for someone that wants a solid, pirate-themed sandbox game and I hope the devs have a decent sized roadmap to implement more content and fixes that the community recommends, because we need more good pirate games.

The greatest ghost puzzle game of all time. Both friends and scrandies will provide a fun experience.

in 2025, the original bioshock and its sequel hold up far better than most modern games in terms of optimization, visuals, gameplay, and audio (sound design and voice acting)

Wonderful and interesting slow burn story that has a lot of coming-of-age tropes packed into a neat sci-fi "end of the world" scenario. Think Logan's Run meets Evangelion and a sprinkling of Fight Club. If you like Suda51 titles, this might fulfill a certain craving for something new along those lines visually but not thematically (not really any moons to speak of). A couple of little puzzles here and there to keep the gameplay relevant to what is essentially a robust visual novel.

A game where you have to dodgeroll away from Beetlejuice and a giant pickle while they can't stop screaming.

Please heed the warning ahead of time. If you have anxiety, depression, or can be upset by disturbing scenes then I would honestly avoid it. Took me a few days to recover and I've played a lot of VNs/horror games.

Anyway, if you love games that are going to provide really strong shocks moments and a bit of meta on the side, download DDLC right now. This game may be free, but it's the best of them and is arguably better than some paid for VNs. Music is solid, writing is fun, and the effects in the later acts are done really well. Ten tenths.

I don't have many hours logged because I had exhausted my original desire to play it on console, but the GTA series is one I love coming back to (especially for the online mode) on occasion and Rockstar really nailed it with 5.
