I beat the game and bonus missions on Heroic with a friend, playing online co-op. We encountered 1 major bug that happened when loading a new mission. We just went back to the menu and started the mission again- no loss of progress, no big deal. I am on Linux, and he is on Windows. Game runs just fine on an RTX 9070 XT, though FSR upscaling does not seem to be implemented very well, because it would only raise the FPS about 1%. Ran a consistent 30-40 FPS on Ultra graphics 4k Ultrawide. While its not the best optimized or polished game of all time, my experience was not at all like many of the negative reviews here on Steam.

The original Halo: CE holds some of my first ever gaming memories and a very dear place in my heart. While I feel that a few of the changes made to the dialogue and character models missed the mark, I thoroughly enjoyed this fresh experience with a timeless story. The added mechanics and weapons strengthen the core gameplay and feeling of the original, not detract from it nor unbalance it. The art style is MUCH more faithful to the original than the remastered graphics in anniversary edition (MCC). There are only 2 cut scenes that I liked less than the originals, while the rest of them had me smiling ear-to-ear. On the whole, changes to the level design were sparse and only present where really needed. This is a faithful and well-executed remake.

For what its worth, this is coming from someone who stopped playing the new Halo games after 4. I have no interest in playing Guardians or Infinite, so you know I'm not a 343 / Halo Studios fanboy. I am a true Halo fanboy though, and I would absolutely buy this game again.

Thumbs up for the classic Halo Trilogy. Thumbs down for Microslop being unable to fix the net code.

When Red Dead Roadkill comes on the radio as you're driving 205 mph down the freeway and your cybergirl hits you up to chill at your place, you realize that this is the game to escape from your life for the next 100+ hours. Haven't completed all the missions or even touched the dlc yet.

One of the few crafting/survival beta games that ISN'T a massive scam! I am thoroughly enjoying this game with my friends, and we haven't even scratched the surface yet! The developers are actually working on finishing their game and adding meaningful content, instead of just releasing overpriced DLCs for a game that needs fixing at its core (looking at you rust). Valheim has a unique building system, rewarding combat and progression, and drop-in locally hosted multiplayer that LITERALLY JUST WORKS. If you have been searching for a challenging and engaging cooperative multiplayer survival experience with endless replayability, and if you have been thoroughly disappointed by many of the recent titles in this genre, VALHEIM WILL END YOUR SEARCH!

Thank you to the developers for all of your hard work, and for providing this overly-bloated genre with some real quality content and original ideas. Not to mention, it has NATIVE SUPPORT FOR LINUX! Just when I was ready to give up on the gaming industry as a whole and resign myself to just playing Skyrim and Minecraft for the next two years, Valheim became the shining beacon on the horizon for me. Thank you again to all of the people pouring their hearts and souls into this game. Your care and efforts show with every single hour I play this game, and there will be many, many, hours to come. In my opinion, you all have earned your way into Valhalla.

Adverse to new players, subpar game-play mechanics, very buggy, and toxic player-base. Loading times for all servers are atrocious. Quote from seasoned player: "If you are playing solo PVP, you are just looting for someone else." You will not be able to link up with your friends for coop easily in any server. You will die repeatedly and it will take hours to find your friends, then you will both die again and respawn in separate random locations. To further compound on this issue, the server client (to play privately) will take hours of customization and troubleshooting just to get it barely working, and it will require knowledge of SteamCMD just to install it in the first place. For a game that has been in active development for 10+ years, this is pitiful. Nothing more than greedy developers desperately clinging to an unoriginal idea. If you enjoy being immensely frustrated, disappointed, and wasting your time, then this is the game to buy. If not, then it is a strong pass.
